The hotel was exactly what i expected!!!Very nice and comfortable rooms,very friendly and smily people,and also very clean!!!I will choose swissotel in the future again!!!I am sure about this!!!

We spent a week at the hotel. Service was exemplary; room extremely clean and comfortable; everyone was friendly; breakfast buffet was amazing. The hotel was directly across from the train and trolley station - extremely convenient and very quiet. We will definitely stay there again.

Really nice, clean hotel. 2 train stops from downtown Zurich, only about a 10 minute train ride. The hotel is right across from the train station so getting around was really easy. I though the hotel was a bit expensive, but that may just be a function of switzerland, everything there is expensive. Also, I thought the shower/bedroom configuration was wierd, you can see into the shower from the bed and there was no curtain or anything.

I booked specifically for two people and got a "discount" by paying in advance for the room so there was no way to change. The room was very pleasant, but the bed was a double, and we're both tall. There was also just one towel. Oh, and the reason I paid more was for use of the sauna since we were flying back to the US the next morning. Sorry, it's closed for the evening. If there had been a king or two twins we would have been fine, but a double is not big enough for a good night's sleep. Oh, and internet access was an extra fee.

The hotel's location is excellent. Literally right next to a train station, market and places to eat. It's very convenient. The hotel is overall pretty nice, but they do NOT provide free wireless internet or NO FREE breakfast. It's always nice when hotels are able to provide free breakfast. The only dissatisfaction we had was a phone bill situation that my mother in law experienced. The front desk told her exactly where to get a phone card where she would be able to use from her room. When she checked out she got a surprising phone bill that charged her op TOP of the calling card she used for all the international calls she made. We stayed at Swissotel Zurich before and they did NOT charge her before. The staff should have CLEARLY informed her that there would be an additional charge. They were wrong!

Not downtown, but right on the rail and tram and much cheaper for it. Good interior and friendly staff.

Rooms are small but well equiped, comfortable and clean. Attrative bar and restaurant. Perfect location for short stay with easy rail connection to the airport and the city center.

We stayed for only one night, but wish we'd been able to stay another. Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was comfortable, immaculate, and had a great view.

We really enjoyed the Zurich trip, the Swissotel is well located and well maintained. I would definitely suggest and stay in Swissotel in future

hotel 5 minutes from the airport , by train . 5 minutes to city centre . great transport system . hotel gave us tickets that covered bus , tram , train and boats . lots of shops and resturaunts just outside the door .

We booked this hotel the morning before we went to Zurich and got an excellent deal on our three night stay (Easter weekend). Included in our stay was complimentary breakfast every morning from 0630 to 1400, which was by far the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. The hotel is right next to a train station, which provides easy access to the Zurich airport, Zurich Hauptbanhof and to the downtown area. Furthermore, the hotel provided us with free transit passes for the three days we were there! The hotel, our room, and the surrounding area were very clean. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They gave us good restaurant recommendations and were very accomodating to our needs. They made us feel like we were at home, even though we were in a foreign country.

We stayed the Easter weekend and it was a very good experience. The spa, the proximity to the centre by train and the breakfast made were the pluses. The pillows could have been a bit better but that's a matter of personal taste and to be fair, I didn't ask in reception for a new one. I thought the car park was expensive but I can not compare with other places (36 CHF by day). Overall, the stay was very good

We stayed here over Easter weekend, and the hotel was offering a special for the holiday: Free roon upgrade, free train, tram, bus tickets for the entire time of are stay, free continental breakfast which was great (tons of food to pick from)and we got a swiss chocolate bunny! The hotel is literally a 4 minute train ride from the airport and just a 15-20 minute tram ride into the city center. If your only going to be in Zurich for a few days this hotel is perfect, close to the airport and close to all forms of transportation! Great room for the money!!!

Nice hotel close to railway, so very quick to get into the city. However be prepared to hear the trains also to a certain degree, not so bad so. Breakfast was served until 14:00 on a public holiday, which was very nice and saved me the lunch...

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. It was spotless, well maintained and modern. A large lobby, friendly staff and an INCREDIBLE breakfast. If you are accustomed to staying in the best hotels, I'd recommend this hotel.

Hotel location is 1 train stop from Zurich airport so very convenient Hotel staff very helpful and friendly Rooms very clean Only complaint is they do not exchange coin Euro's for Swiss Francs. They will only exchange paper Euro's. They were not able to tell me why this was their policy.

Very clean and nice, but the rooms are small for this level of pricing. I expect small rooms in Europe, but when you hit this price category I feel there should be some improvement. It is directly across the street from a rail station and a Tram stop point (the number 11 line). This means you will not need a car while staying here or you can leave your car in the garage to save yourself hassle. There is little to no parking in down-town and a day pass to ZONE 10 on the local rail system will get you everywhere you want to be with no hassle at all. It's fun and easy in Zurich. I did have a problem with this hotel charging my credit card a 2nd time after Hotels.com already charged my credit card for the room. I expect my bank to clear this up for me as a disputed item, but I'm not happy to have to deal with the BS factor for things like this at an expensive hotel. I don't think this is Hotels.com's fault, just sloppy paperwork at the Swissotel.

The hotel is situated between the airport and the city, adjacent to the train station, 7 minutes to airport and 7 minutes to city. Train service was excellent and free travel cards were provided for me and my partner for the entire stay. Hotel food is expensive but good. I would recommend eating out. Breakfast is very good (included in my deal) and service is generally excellent. Staff were very friendly and genuine. Zurich is a excellent city for a weekend with beautiful surroundings

This is a great hotel with all the facilities and located right at the train station making it very convenient to go around to places. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Great for couples and families. The pool at the hotel top is an added advantage. The hotel restaurant is on the expensive side. Other than that do your research before taking in any hotel. 4 mins from the airport if you take the train and 7 mins to the main station from where you can go anywhere in Europe.

Very close to the train station, its easy access to the local shops and only a 5 min tram ride into the centre. Nice views of Zurich frm our room and from the pool which is on the top floor of the hotel.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed at this hotel for 3 1/2 days and spent most of that time in the spa! It's so nice with views out over the city and a good sauna, steamroom, solarium spa and pool. The hotel is not in the centre of Zurich, but the train takes 6 or 7 minutes to get to Zurich HB station, and the tram takes 15 mins, or just 20 -25 mins to the lakefront and so it is quick, cheap and easy to get to the centre of the city as the train and tram stops are directly next to the hotel (although i never heard a single train inside the hotel.) There are even trams and trains pretty much 24 hours and so you are never far from the city. The level of service in eth hotel was excellant, very helpful and friendly staff, all who speak perfect English as well (for those of us who don't speak Swiss German) The room even had a menu of pillows to choose from! I cannot recommend this hotel enough, the level of service and luxury is amazing considering the price of the rooms, if you are travelling to Zurich and do not have to be in eth very centre of the city, then i recommend you to stay here.

The Swissotel is lovely. The rooms are fairly large for a Swiss hotel, if you are from North America you will still find them small. The wellness center is outstanding! The view from the pool and sauna are incredible. If you are shy about being nude in mixed company the sauna and thermal bath might not be for you; but suits are worn in the pool and jacuzzi. It is easy to get downtown on the tram or train. There is a lot of shopping withing walking distance of the hotel. I highly recommend staying here.

The location is a big big plus, staffs are friendly, everything meets up to my expectation except the spa close a little too early at 8pm.

I booked a stay at the Swissotel during a 50%-off-for-3-days-or-more promotion and could not be more pleased with the hotel. Getting to and from airport and downtown Zurich is quick and easy by train or tram, and train connections out of town are even good from the Oerlikon station. The hotel itself was most comfortable and the staff very accommodating (particularly in having a room ready for an early check-in). Room was small but workable and comfortable. Only minor quibble is the building-wide thermostat with very limited in-room temperature control; the room was briefly quite hot, but came under control with some open window time.

The Swissotel was all that I expected from a high quality full service hotel. The price was more than reasonable for a European hotel and the location to airport and train station was very convenient. PS ask for a romm on the other side of the train station if your a light sleeper you will hear the trains.

Over all I was satisfied with this hotel. Here are bad and hood sides: Good Rooms are nice and clean, however bit small. Can catch a tram (number 11) and you are in Center just in 17 minutes. Supermarket right next door. Hotel is located right across inter-city/city train station (Oerlikon), which was very convenient for travel across Switzerland. Bad Bathroom has a glass (non transparent) door (at least in my room), whim might be discomforting to some. Not in a city center. Something that can be bothersome to people is the noise at night if you want to keep your window open. To summarize in my opinion it’s a pretty good hotel to stay at.

TAke advantage on the weekend. This is a bussiness hotel taht is booked monday thru friday so they got really good prices sat and sunday. But be carefull everything else is really expensive:parking, food, ect. But you can find some alternatives within a short walk. The trin is just infront of the hotel.

I have just completed my stay at this hotel on my first trip to Zurich. The postives: It is a great location. You can easily navigate your way to the airport, main train station, shopping area, or other tourist areas from here. The service was friendly and the room was clean. The negatives: First of all, BREAKFAST IS NOT INCLUDED. This was pretty important to me as I showed up for breakfast the next morning and was told it was not included in my room. The buffet breakfast was $35 francs, which is about $27 USD. And while the buffet looked good from far away, the eggs were cold and the bread was hard. Yes, there is a McDonalds nearby, but if this is your first trip to Zurich, be warned that no one serves an American breakfast (eggs, waffles, omlettes, french toast, hash browns). All places serve sandwichs, burgers and paninis...all day long...even for breakfast. So you can get a Big Mac at 8am, but no eggs. Another thing, I was charged at tax for the room and when I tried to explain that it was already included in my booking, the lady indicated no. I have already logged this complaint into Hotels.com

The Swissotel is conveniently located for business in and around Zurich,however the very close proximity to the main train station at Oerlikon, makes opening the windows basically impossible at night. In our case the airconditioning could not be adjusted down, so we had a somewhat uncomfortable warm night. The parking is below, which is convenient, but also adds significantly to the overnight costs. Breakfast is not included and very pricy to add. Overall a nice, comfortable hotel though and well in line with the rather high prices of Zurich.

The hotel is located right across the street from a train/metro stop. There are stairs you must walk up at the metro. No esculator. We got an excellent weekend rate. Meals at the hotel are pricey. However, there is a McDonalds, and a supermarket right across from the main entrance of the hotel. In addition the trains stations vendor sells bagels. Would stay at this hotel again if they offered special rate. ME

Found the hotel very accessible as it very close to the Oerlikon train station. Staff were very helpful and friendly and had no issues during the 5 nights we stayed. Unfortunately the room had no ac, which is probably what most travellers experience. However this was rectified by the staff as they quickly sent a fan which proved to be very handy. For the leisure traveller, the breakfast and car park is pricey, both at 35 SF a day ( per person, although car parking is charged by the hour and works ok if you park overnight only). They have a great pool which unfortunately I didnt get to use. They have a co-op next door, very handy if you want to buy daily items. There are some great cafes around the corner for breakfast. If you are travelling with a young child, recommend you hire a car (found Hertz online to be the cheapest) as although they have an excellent train system, the car proves to be much more useful (can get a child seat from Hertz) and slightly cheaper if travelling to places like Interlaken, Berg and Lucern as the trains are quite pricey. If staying over 4 days, you can get the swiss pass which cost around 220 SF per person for 4 days, and gives you unlimited train travel around Switzerland. I hired a Mercedes C200 Kompressor which cost me around 100 SF a day inc full insurance, car seat and taxes. Was well worth it, esp as it stopped my son running around on the trains :)

I thought this was a wonderfully clean and well-kept hotel in a location that can't be beat if you have an early morning flight out of Zurich (five minutes to airport). My only complaint was about the bed. The mattress was a little uncomfortable and the linens didn't smell quite as fresh as I would have liked. Otherwise, I was quite happy with my stay and would recommend it to anyone.

This is a very nice full-service hotel. Rooms are modern and clean. The location is perfect if you are catching a flight the next day (1 train stop to the airport). I had requested 2 twin beds when I reserved the room b/c I was sharing with my father for the last day of our trip (i am 30yr-old female). I was told when I checked in that there were only king-sized beds available (more like our queen-sized) and no rollaway cots were on hand. I certainly complained enough but got no repsonse or effort from the front desk to alleviate my concerns. Her response to me was "just because you reserve twin beds doesn't mean you will get them." I expected a little better service than that. Also, be aware of the bathrooms if you are traveling with someone besides your significant other...the shower walls are completely see-through and look out into the room. The sliding door for the bathroom only covers the entrance, so anyone in the room can see everything going on in the shower and bathroom. I would not recommend this hotel for a family or group of friends for this reason. There is NO privacy

Only stayed for one night so cannot say much but it was a good hotel close to both the airport and city centre. Very helpful staff and the hotel was good. Maybe slightly high in price but I guess it was worth it.

i was pleasantly surprised by the quality and service in this hotel; i was expecting more of a budget/boutique type place, but i got a great room with a beautiful view and good service. it was a little more business oriented than i thought, but the overall experience was outstanding for the price. the pool was more of a kids' spot vs. a lap pool and the fitness center was adequate at best, but it was a good, clean, nice hotel with excellent staff and service

For an international chain you'd expect far better. The bathroom floor had a lot of body hair, which was repulsive. Then at 7:45am room service knocked on the door then just burst in. Who wants their room cleaned at that hour?! The ten minutes later another man just walked into the room for some unknown reason. Reception said "they would look into it" without an apology. I will not stay in any Swissotel again if this is the sort of thing that happens.

The hotel was located directly next to a tram and railway station. Short ride into the town center. Surrounded by restaurants, shopping, and a street market. Top floor swimming pool overlooking the city was very nice.
