The Royal Pacific Hotel & Towers - Χονγκ Κονγκ

One of the best hotels in Hong Kong for the money, 5 star hotel for 3 star price.. close to ferry, trains, parks, shopping.

My family and I had traveled to this part of the world many times and we declare we just found our perfect hotel after spending just the first night with the Royal Pacific, we extended our stay for another week subsequently. We wished we had used this hotel in all our previous visits. It's close to, if not at the center of just about any activities a visitor would do: taking a ferry across the harbor to Hong Kong side, to Macau; taking buses and MTR to any parts of the colony and Kowloon; going shopping from high end malls to regular local merchants; eating out at restaurants of a diverse ethnic delights. Plus the hotel staff are courteous and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, unlike similar star-power of hotels. Last but not least, the harbor view is fantastic. One cannot ask for more!

Outstanding location, Ferry terminal right down stair from Hotel, makes it easy to go to Macau. Hotel is very clean and room is very modern with shopping and ferry to Hong Kong near.

The hotel is within walking distance of the Victoria Harbour and a huge upscale shopping complex. The room was, however, kind of showing its age and really could use some renovations.

Hotel is very nice - we had a large room overlooking the harbour. Hotel upgraded us to this nice room at no charge. Front Desk staff were very nice and helpful. Location is great being next door to the Harbour City mall and close to the Star Ferry. Convenient access to Airport express free shuttle. We would definitely stay here again.

Pro: great location, convenient to public transportation and taxi station, helpful reception staff Con: dated deco, no cell phone reception but various, most popular carrier in HK (e.g. PCCW). I supposed they would like you to make calls using the room phone which charges HK$5 per call. Maintenance crew worked on the hallway and specifically our door frame (they were replacing the door frames on our floor) while we are in and out of the room throughout the day. They have all the equipment out in the hall (saw, wood, glue, paint) for days. The fume was very bad in the room for the first 24 hours after they glued on the new wood. We stayed at this hotel for 12 consecutive days and I wished they could be more considerate and placed us on a floor that was not scheduled door frame replacement. I would not recommend this hotel for long stay.

The hotel is actually located right in the middle of a gigantic shopping center. Central ferry terminal to mainland China within walking distance. The staff is very kind and helpful. Nice atmosphere.

Didn't expect such a small room. The 2 single beds were very small (and I am a small-size Asian girl!). The bed sheets were rough and it's very uncomfortable to the touch. Damp carpets emited some unpleasant odour.

A comfortable hotel located at the center of Tism Sha Tsui easy to go to south china and Macau and many shops for shopping.

The way that the hotel was advertised was misleading. I had expected differently. It didn't show at all what they had advertised. I was so disappointed, there was no view of anything and I had to go thru a lot to get to the main floor of the hotel. The bathroom is big but there's alway water leakage. Had call house keeping but no one ever came to fix it.

We were able to get a great deal on this hotel. Others in our party received lesser accommodations for more money. For a very reasonable fee I was amazed to have been offered a suite on a high floor - a spotless room! I slept well every night. we were handled with every courtesy.

The Tower Deluxe Room was quite spacious considering how scarce usable space is for such a dense population in Hong Kong. However, the furniture and carpet was a bit run down making the place feel somewhat cheap for a four star hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a very convenient location for public transportation, wide shopping, and dining possiblities. Overall satisfaction was good and would stay at this hotel when travelling to Hong Kong again.

It was nice to have many choices of places to eat within the hotel complex. The beds were quite hard, though. The room was quiet and the hotel staff was professional.

1. Booked a superior room, they tried to fob me off with a tatty old room. I complained so they showed me to another tatty old room. I complained again so they finally took me to a premier room the size of a shoebox. Needed laundry doing, prices for one shirt are fifty six HKD and then fifty percent surcharge for getting it next day. One pair of socks was twenty six HKD, same surcharge on top. Local phone calls are free in HK, but I was charged five HKD per call. Housekeeping walked into my room without knocking. Didn't feel welcome as a guest, more like someone who was in the way.

Hi all, Overall this hotel gets the job done. For the price you probably can do better elsewhere but the hotel location is very centralized and gets the job done! Best of all is right by the Ferry Terminal. Its right by the hotel. Shopping is a blast! Transportation, excellent. Cleanliness, needs improvement. The caulking around the bath area and the rugs are a bit dated. I enjoyed the hotel for the convenience and centralized location.

This hotel is very nice for the money and the location is great. Service is very good and we had a room with harbor view so it was wonderful. The furnitures were O.K. except they are little bit dated. I would stay there again.

The location of this hotel was excellent and view of the harbour was really good for the rate. The rooms are dated (could use new carpet), but very spacious. The lines were long at check in, but the hotel staff were very friendly and working hard... just lots of people to process. Overall very happy with the hotel and great price and place to stay in Hong Kong.

Unles you are planning on spending a great deal of time in your room, this is THE place to stay in Hong Kong. For the price, you will not find anything as comfortable and convenient as this hotel. Walking distance to a number of attractions as well as the subway station, which will get you anywhere else you need to go. Although small, the rooms are comfortable and well-maintained.

The outside of the hotel was pretty decent, and most of the staffs were very friendly. However, they failed to inform me that even though I booked a non-smoking room, only a "smoking floor" was available for my room type. They did not offer any help to that except for the "treatment" (which is simply putting a machine in our room for 30 minutes to clear off the smell). To be honest, since this is a smoking floor, the smell gets into your room no matter how many treatments were made. Even the cleaning lady smelled the smoke in our room. They should have made it clear before the booking that only a smoking floor is available for that floor.

Perfect location, nice rooms.

This hotel is in a great location. Not far from the MTR or Star Ferry makes it easy to get anywhere in Hong Kong. I would stay here again.

We were upgraded to a better room.

Great hotel, very helpful staff. The rooms were terrific. Just keep in mind that the walk to the MTR will be 10-15 minutes.

Some public area carpets soiled. Numerous stair steps in public areas which impede movement, especially for shoppers. Awkward driving pattern in the area around the hotel - need to be careful how and where one catches a taxi.

The view from the hotel is excellent. We got a room overlooking the Hong Kong island. There is large malls around this hotel and it is conveniently located walking distance from the MTR (subway) stations as well as the ferry terminals (both Macau and HK island). One thing the hotel didn't mention anywhere - The hotel is located in the same building from where you can take a ferry to Macau. Just take the elevator 2 stories below from the hotel lobby. Some negatives to this hotel that we found were - dated furniture and carpet in the rooms; and breakfast buffet has bad service. None of the negatives should keep you away from this hotel for a holiday trip to HK.

At the price I paid, the Royal Pacific Hotel is way above my expectation. The location is excellent. The terrace that stretches out to the harbor is so beautiful and is perfect for morning exercise. The food court is so convenient with good food at good prices. The room was spacious, rare in Hong Kong! The hotel staff are all helpful. Every time I asked for help, they came within minutes. It was all GOOOOD!

stayed there at beginning and end of trip to mainland China. Asked for soft bed on original reservation. Small room in new section but very clean and comfortable. Second stay we forgot to ask in advance for soft bed so we were stuck using an extra comforter for cushioning.

Over all, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The one disappointment was the quality of the room service that we ordered. It was very overpriced for the amount and quality of food that we received.

This hotel exceeds our expectations. Great value for a good location - walking distance to metro station and shopping area; easy access to the ferry terminal (just below the hotel by escalator).

This hotel is well located right in the heart of TST especially if you're going to take a ferry to China. The rooms looked a bit tired but were relatively clean. Overall a good hotel that could use a bit of paint.

My stay was pleasant the staff was nice I had food delivered to my room, there could be some improvement on the quality of the food one of my meals was excellent the others were only fair.

If you are just transferring in Hong Kong to go to China by Ferry, this is the most convenient hotel there is. The quality is ok, the interiors are a little tired...but so was I after a long flight.

I got a smoking room on 21st floor, overlooking the Kowloon Park. I was dubious about a smoking room because of the smell. Whilst there was an underlying odour, it was not bad, and I didn't notice it once i lit up my first. . . The staff were friendly and helpful on checking in and out. I had a sence that they really did care. Otherwise the room was more than adiquate for my one night. Clean and comfortable.

Good hotel, very helpfull staff

The hotel is all that I had planned on: clean, accommodating, great decor in the public areas. Rooms in the tower section are "smallish", but have very good marble bathrooms. The price is fair compared to others in Hong Kong, and the location could not be better: the China Ferry is downstairs, the Star Ferry is a few blocks away through the fabulous Harbour City Shopping Center. The Harbor, art museum and cultural center is a short walk. I have stayed in this hotel in the past and liked the remodeling and updates that have been made to restaurants, lobbies, etc. I will definately stay here on future trips to Hong Kong.

I've stayed at this hotel on my visits to Hong Kong for over 10 years. The quality of service and room size was never a factor because the price was good. Prices have now increased on the justification of redecoration. Nothing else has changed, so the hotel is is no longer competative.

Nice hotel, good service, just a little far away from the MTR station. Needs about a ten minutes walk. Overall a good deal for a nice hotel.
