Copthorne Hotel Plymouth - Πλύμουθ

Good hotel, although must say there are loads of hidden charges that one should be aware. Like the newspaper in the morning, which is complimentary in most hotels - I was charged for it. But clean room and good service. Close to city centre and the HOE is walking distance from there. so proximity to things is very good. My wife liked it a lot.

The property is tired and shabby. The beds are only full size, no queens or kings. There is no airconditioning, requiring the window to be open and it is very noisy outside. The drapes are torn, the carpet was worn, there was mold in the bathroom, and the shower curtain rod was practically rusted through. Additionally, there was a sign in the bathroom to keep the door closed when using the shower, or the fire alarm would sound. There are two eleavator units, but only one works. At best this is a two star property.

During an average year I stay in over a dozen hotels, for both business and leisure, The room was above average and at the price paid it was good value for money, although we did not eat in the restaraunt. Buying breakfast in the next door Sainsbury's was cheaper. Staying on the hottest nights of the year meant that windows had to be kept open, and the room overlooked a busy roundabout, The only collomg in the roon was a ceiling mounted fan, Also very limited number of channels on the TV! Overalll if you want central hotel in Plymouth it is ideal.

Would certainly use the hotel again. Friendly, well organised staff and good comfortable room. Not much of a hotel to look at from the outside but inside it was clean and comfortable. Didn't use the hotel restaurant as thought the evening meal menu was expensive but found a great Italian Restaurant "Positano" only a few yards away. Parking is extra, £4 a night but it is underground and secure. The shops, ladies, are on your doorstep and if you are intending to go to see Plymouth Argyle beaten by your team then it's only a short walk away!

Service adequate, room of a good standard and spacious with good level of cleanliness (which, moreover, should be expected), shower a bit difficult to operate. Bar / restaurant reasonable, not much choice at breakfast and parking somewhat limited for a hotel of this size. Some foreign (Eastern European / oriental) staff difficult to understand at times.

The hotel itself is ideally situated for the town centre which was only a very short walk away. The reception area was clean and bright and the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed or two nights and enjoyed the area. Car parking was no problem as the hotel had a small car park at the front and a gated/secure car park underneath the hotel. The breakfast was ok, staff again very friendly and helpful.. I probably wouldnt return to this hotel as its is situated on a busy road, at night and throughout the entire night the noise of the road traffic outside was quite evident. Also situated where it is in close proximity to the town centre - we had both night's sleep interrupted by shouting and swearing drunks / yobs who had been in the town all night and were passing the hotel on the way home. No problems with the hotel, but be aware of the traffic noise and some minor yobbish behaviour outside the hotel.

The staff are very helpful and friendly, rooms very comfortable and the breakfasts are excellent.

Booked on line, reasonably priced. Very handy for shops, theatre and the Hoe. Room was clean and confortable. Bar/restaurant area, cosy but very busy. Food in restaurant was good, but restaurant lacke atmosphere.

My husband and I read the reviews after booking the Hotel and we were somewhat anxious as to what the hotel was going to be like. We were very pleasantly surprised.We had two rooms booked. They were large with large bathroom, very clean and comfortable. The beds were wonderful!Plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Staff extremely helpful and polite. No complaints at all.

When I arrived at the Copthorne Hotel they didn't recieve my reservation from hotels.com, they honored the price but I was charged by hotels.com and the Copthorne. The room itself was small, but the beds were extremely comfortable, and the staff was friendly.

Sentralt lokalisert hotel med egen parkering / garasje. Vennlig og hjelpsom betjening. Har noen år på nakken og har noen mangler, men den sentrale beliggenheten veier opp for dette. Vi var her på weekendtur og er godt fornøyde. Ikke noe problem med å booke oss inn på nytt.
