What a delightful visit ! A truly lovely experience. This hotel is outstanding.

The Europa is right in the centre of Belfast. It is bright, clean and has excellent services. The staff are very friendly and helpful

The hotel is in a great location, a couple of minutes from City Hall. The concierge service is outstanding. The renovated rooms are beautiful. Even if you asked for a non-smoking room through Hotels.com you need to remind the hotel when you check in. If you want a quiet room ask for a room in the back of the hotel. There were some problems with the reservation. Everything was fine on Hotels.com's side but we had to call 4 times with the help of Hotels.com to get our reservation taken care of. DO NOT ASSUME all is well - you are going to Northern Ireland. Our reservation included breakfast but when we checked-out we were given a bill for breakfast. Again, DO NOT ASSUME that your breakfast is included. If you need access to the Internet this hotel is not for you. Not only do you have to pay for the Internet but the coverage is really bad and the hotel keeps charging you unless you log out of your PC. This is really not acceptable for a 4 stars hotel. Housekeeping is not very efficient. Check to make sure you have toilet paper. With Hotel Europa, you are paying for location and history.

This hotel is in a great location for shopping and is surrounded by good restaurants within walking distance. Staff extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. Room nice and quiet. Carpark underneath which is a bonus. Would definitely recommend it - some very good rates available. Will definitely be back.

We were in belfast for only one day. The hotel is right across the street from the famous Crown Saloon. We got the rooms for a very good price. There isn't much around the hotel.

We visited the hotel for a wedding reception and stayed for two nights. The room appeared to be quite dirty with dirty cups and glasses and stains on the pillows. The room had no air conditioning which meant that the window had to be open, and even from the eighth floor, this made it very noisy. The bars and function rooms were impressive but were unfortunately let down by SOME of the staff, other staff members were excellent.

We were really impressed with the Europa overall - had a lovely spacious room with a huge bed. Our only niggle was with the quality of the housekeeping and overall attitude of the staff. It was little things really like not leaving new toiletries one day and then not replacing the complementary water the next. I know this may sound petty to some people but when you are paying through the nose you have a right to excpect the service you have paid for. I am a Customer Service Manager and so always take particular notice of service delivery, so I guess I am a bit on the picky side! When we asked at reception about the water which was missing from our room we were told to go to one of the bars and they would provide us with some. A small thing but as we were on our way out of the hotel we had to turn around go upstairs to the bar and then back to our room to drop off the water. Personally I think reception should have arranged for the water to be in our room for our return. Oh and no apology either. Whilst not rude the staff were certainly missing that extra something that gives a customer an excellent experience. Overall the hotel was lovely, in a great location and we had a fantasic stay in Belfast. If I sound like an old fusspot then go ahead and book this hotel, if you think small inconveniences like this would irritate you also then perhaps look elsewhere. Think we will try Jury's next time!

This was an OUTSTANDING hotel . . . one of the best in Ireland or Northern Ireland. We stayed in many hotels on our trip and this one was by far the most comfortable. I slept like a baby. It is right in the heart of town. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go . . . The Belfast Wheel (awesome), St. George's Market, Starbucks!!, The Crown Bar (wonderful food), and the Grand Opera House (right next door). This is the best hotel to stay in when you visit Belfast!!! I will definately stay here next time I go.

Exceeded my expectations for the room, hotel, and service for the price. This is luxurious for the price. Had a huge fluffy bed, bath robes, slippers, flat screen, and ipod speakers. More than enough amenities than needed.

Great hotel, rooms and service were excellent. Only downside was the number of groups having parties....making noise on a Sagtruday night.

We were only here for a night but the staff answered all questions asked and were very nice. The beds were so comfortable, very soft. The room was very clean and the hop on hop off bus tour stop was just around the corner. The shopping district is one block away. As for night life that was much to be desired. The Crown Bar (right across the street) had beautiful decor but not a real young crowd if that's what you are looking for.

We stayed in the Europa Hotel for 1 night only - we arrived at 1pm - our friends had arrived at 11am and checked in nicely (even though check in wasnt until 3pm) we were unable to get access to our room, and were told to come back at 3pm we came back at 2.50 and were told it still wasnt ready - so they offered us an upgrade to an executive suite which was very nice!! We had a meal in the hotel - food was nice but service was terribly poor they also had a young lad of about 15 serving meals.....Nice hotel

No parking facilities, room was very spacious and comfortable. Food was poor

My friend and i had a 2 night stay here and we loved it so much we are planning on revisiting again as soon as possible.Beautiful hotel and lovely people nothing is too much.Not the first time ive stayed in a hastings hotel but more impressed with the europa than i was with slaley hall.Well done belfast...

My husband and I enjoyed a weekend get away to Belfast and we were impressed with the Europa. The lobby is gorgeous and check in and check out were a breeze. Staff were all very friendly. We didn't try out any of the bars or the restaurant, however we stuck our head in to the Lobby Bar on Saturday night and they had a great live band playing. The room was a bit small, but the bed was very comfortable. The shower was amazing!!

went for the weekend with my husband and was very dissapointed with the Europa. Our room was tiny, have never stayed in a room so small. Couldn't have a rest in the morning cause walls were so thin that we could hear next doors tv and doors slamming on corridor all day. Breakfast was £16 sterling. Who do they think they are.One good thing was the residents bar

I spent two nights at the Europa in Jan. '09. Overall, the hotel was very pleasant. Staff are friendly and accommodating, although they don't always jump to assist. The hotel's location is perfect, just at the edge of central Belfast and easy walking distance to Queen's University. The rooms feature very comfortable beds. Bathrooms in the standard rooms are efficiently designed, if small, and the shower pressure is fantastic. I enjoyed the selection of teas in the room, and my room had a nice view over the city. On the downside, the standard rooms are tiny with no room for a suitcase and virtually no open space in which to move about. Maybe I've gotten spoiled staying mostly in American hotels, but these rooms were small even by New York City standards. I also had trouble regulating the temperature in my room: either it was a sauna or very cold. Some details in the room seemed a bit shabby: Bath amenities could be nicer at this price point and should include lotion, and my guest services book looked like it had been put through a meat grinder. Housekeeping shows up very early, but if you send them away, they don't come back until the early afternoon. The walls at the hotel are paper thin--bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

This impressive hotel is at the heart of Belfast in more ways than one.It's location is ideal.The staff were all very friendly and helpful.The hotel is quite grand but not overbearing.The room was very clean and comfortable with everything you would need to hand.

Located right in the city center. The room was nice & spacious, but the beds need some updating- not the most comfortable. All the normal room features. Nice bathroom. Staff was very polite, but a bit slow for checking in, checking out and helping with luggage.

Very nice hotel, with an interesting history. Across the street is the old Crown Bar and Saloon. Great location.

The hotel is very good in all aspects. The only disappointing thing for us was that we arrived at 1 pm (check-in is 3 pm) and were told that only rooms on the smoking floor were available. We decided to wait for a non-smoking room but when we returned at 5pm there were still no non-smoking rooms available! We were ushered upstairs to have a complimentary drink but the situation was the same at 6pm at which point our patience ran out (it was my wife's birthday and we were only there for one night) and we spoke to the reception staff who secured us an upgrade :-) Nicely handled but a shame that this situation arose.

Stayed for 2 nights at Europa Hotel whilst on a leisure trip to Belfast. The hotel is in great location next to the main bus station (including the airport bus terminus) and opposite some atmospheric pubs. The hotel bar has a great atmosphere with live music at weekends. The room was a good size, modern and comfortable with great views across the city. The staff were courteous and professional. I would definitely stay again.

Dont bring a car. Some websites advertise the fact that the hotel has parking facilities but they dont. There is an ajoining multi story car park that they tell you to park in and quote you a rate that is bull s@@t. We stayed from Friday to Sunday and the car park cost £40. Also breakfast in the hotel is £16!! The rooms look very ice but they are WAY too warm. No a/c and when I asked they said they would try to get me a fan. 12 hours later an no fan so I asked 3 times in total for it and they said that "they didnt HAVE to get us a fan but were doing it out of courtesy and would drop t up when they had a minute" All in all I would not stay here again. Sure the hotel looks nice but the staff are very rude ( apart from the 2 lads in the concierge, they were nice) This hotel is not as fancy or exclusive as the staff like to think it is and as far as I am concerned. Courtesy costs them nothing...NEVER AGAIN!!

Brilliant stay for a birthday aprty. Good meal, good service, good staff, good breakfast... Played guitar in the piano lounge till late in the morning, fantastic. I will be back --- :-)

Great Location - two minute walk to center city. Close proximity to pubs, restaurants and attractions. 10 minute walk to the river, 10 minute walk to the train station. Located about an hr from Giants Causway While the service in the restaurant was slow, the food was very good and reasonable priced. My only complaint is that at night/early morning the people outside on the streets were a bit loud.

The Europa is a superbly-located hotel in the heart of the vibrant city of Belfast. Everything is on the doorstep with the bus and train stations nearby. The hotel is busy and very large with a good complement of staff. Rooms were small but comfortable for a night or two. Breakfast was hearty and buffet-style, making for a quick start in the mornings. Overall a fine place, not glamorous, ideal for the business traveller.

Tried to stay here, but they had no record of our reservation. The hotel is still undergoing renovation & seems a bit disorganized. It looks like it will be very nice, once finished. Incredible location! Bummed we couldn't stay there..but, they put us up at a sister property 15 mins from downtown, which ended up working out fine.

Our room was a big surprise! It was a lot more spacious than we expected, massive comfy bed and widescreen TV. All the staff where more than helpful and really bent over backwards for us, despite how busy they were with it being new years eve. Because of nye check out time was extended to 1pm which was a well appreciated extra! Parking was convenient and nowhere near as expensive as I expected. Loads of great restaurants and clubs near by. We will definately return!

Hotellet ligger vegg i vegg med buss- og togstasjon, og er svært sentralt i forhold til handlegater, pøbber og historiske steder i Belfast. Hadde et supert opphold på stedet, og betjeningen var svært hyggelig.

Hotellet er overraskende fint til den prisen vi betalte. Det har en business profil og ligger sentralt plassert like ved sentralbanestasjonen. Ligger en del puber og restauranter i samme gate, og så er det ca 10 min å gå til hoved-shoppingområdet.

Wij hebben in het hotel 1 nacht verbleven en dat is ons prima bevallen. De ligging ten opzichte van het station en van het centrum is prima. De beschrijving over de geschiedenis van het hotel is imponerend. Het ontbijt was uitstekend, zowel Iers als continental, en het diner op de 1e avond prima. Bij een volgend verblijf in Belfast zullen we zeker weer kiezen voor dit hotel.
