Comfort Hotel, Nottingham (City Centre) - Νότινγχαμ

the hotel was ok, you get what you pay for. the location is in the middle of alot of the city's pubs and clubs, which has it's natural pros and cons.

Very good location right in the city centre

This hotel was not clean. Wallpaper hanging from walls. Elevator doors on inside were filthy as well as area around buttons to press for your floor. Carpet was filthy. This hotel in my opinion could not carry a one star rating among internet booking sites.

This hotel has a great location but that's it. It was dingy, smelt of stale smoke and was in need of a total re-vamp. If I had been staying for more than one night, I would have moved after the first night. YUK! I trusted the Comfort Hotel name but won't make the same mistake twice.

This hotel looks o.k. from the outside. Inside it looks like something from the 1950s. Reception were polite but didn't know much about the area.

Initial reception not too warm. The bed was comfy, but the peeling paint work throughout the hotel and very noisy neighbours made it a poor quality stay. Oh - the scrambled eggs....think I'll send them the instructions on how to make them look and taste nice.

The Comfort Hotel provided exactly what my friends and I required: cheap accomodation in central Nottingham, walking distance from the clubs and bars. The triple room was convenient, amenities were a reasonable standard but don't expect luxury. Check in was easy, asked for an extra set of towels when I got to the room, and 3 extra sets were brought up immediately, so can't fault the service. Bathroom was fine and spacious, although not luxury. Overall, very safisfied and would stay there again with friends for cheap central accomodation for a fun night out in Nottingham.

I chose the Comfort Hotel in Nottingham because of its central location to the town centre which has most of what any business or leisure traveller is seeking in terms of restaurants, well-known sights and attractions. Although in need of some updating, the hotel offered a reasonable standard of accommodation and served its purpose as a place to stay whilst exploring the city.

I would never return to this hotel and would certainly not recommend it to anyone. It was in serious need of renovation and redecoration. How is it that in September 2008 one can still smell cigarette smoke in the rooms. We even had an ashtray in ours. I thought we had a ban. One plus side was there was a fab Thai restaurant across the street from the hotel.

This is an awful hotel, it is very old fashioned, it really needs some proper refurbishment. Old carpets, tatty fittings, it is full of people looking for cheap rooms. So it is full of stag and hen nights. It stinks as well of pork fat from the awful breakfast and stale air. This hotel has nothing to recommend it other than being cheap but it isn't even good value. I wouldn't stay here again if it was free, really!

Decent stay at the hotel though I would probably try a different hotel if I ever had to go back to Nottingham. Was woken up by the sound of a loud fan which seemed to be coming from outside and lasted for hours. Hope that isn't a regular occurence.

No Car Park at Hotel will cost you about £7 per night for a car park nearby. Hotel is a old hotel ( Charles Dickens visited in 1850's ) Staff friendly and helpful but Hotel looks as if it needs some money spending on it. However is comfortable and clean and EXCELLENT breakfast included

friendly warm staff clean comfort without luxury. Needed central hotel, at a sensible price. bar and restaurant basic. wouldnt stay there if busy(too noisy I suspect) not at weekends ( inside and outside people noise) nor hot summer ( no air con, double glazing, ) . remember its an old hotel - tired but clean with basic faciliites.

I requested a non smoking room when I booked the hotel a few weeks in advance and even though there was a no smoking sign on the door, there was a very strong smell of cigarettes in the room and the walls were stained yellow. We could not open the window. Consequently our clothes started to smell and it made both myself and my partner feel quite ill.

Excellent location in city centre and neraby NCP car park where can park for £7.70 or thereabouts. My room was v hot - no way of turning any heat source off and could not open window over delightful shaft to get any air in. Party below and the music (thudding) from this made the room vibrate until the small hours to be replaced by guests (I assume!) shouting and screaming until 6. Then was some quiet until people started moving around in the morning. So not so good but were plus points: cheap, breakfast OK, good location, lots of hot water and would be a good base if there is a party of you who are just going clubbing all night.

The hotel itself is quite old and most of the decor is quite out of date. Our room was on the second floor, stret facing. This didnt bother us that much as we were planning on staying out until late so the noise wouldn't have bothered us. But it was noisy even after we got in so I can appreciate people who were asleep in rooms next to us, it probably wasn't the best nights sleep! The room itself was ok, a bit run down and the floorboards were very sqeaky. I kept thinking that they were going to break under my feet or that we were distrubing the peopel below us. The hotel is in an ideal location with bars and restaurants minutes away. I even had time to run back and get my umbrella! All in all it is an ok hotel, it just needs a re-vamp. Service was good and location is excellent. For one night it will do, not for much longer than than that though!

staff were very friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable enough, bathroom was starting to fall apart and there was mold in some areas. This is an old hotel that is due a refurbishment. If you are looking for somewhere very central to spend the night after going out at night in the city center, than this would fit the bill. maybe a little overpriced for the quality of the room tho

this was my second stay at this hotel. the first stay was fine. this time i was given a room on the fourth floor where the window was so high, i had to climd on a chair to open it. when i tried to open it the dust by the window was a centimetre thick, and looking closely, the net curtain had cobwebs

we had some young adults with us so we were able to give them some freedom without having to provide transportation. A little noisy because it is close to the action but I didn't find it a problem. I could see how light sleepers may be bothered. Full english breakfast was good and staff was very nice.

En byggnad i mycket dåligt skick.men sängarna var helt OK så man sov bra. Mycket bra frukost men de slarvade med disken. Trevlig personal.
