Britannia Hotel Wolverhampton - Γούλβερχαμπτον

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel. The first three nights were good because of staff friendliness and clean room, however, the last day we stayed was saturday. Nobody came to clean the room and somebody had a birthday party from 9pm till 5am so didn't have any sleep!

I am pleased to have chosen Britannia Hotel for my short stay

The hotel itself is ok but the staff dont have any respect nor manners i wasnt greeted nor spoken to once. The room is average but the bathroom windows are clear glass covered up with paper which has been removed by other guests reported this the day i arrived 8 days later nothin done the room was clean butt he bathroom was disgusting mould in the corners and very dirty

Perfect location for Public Transport - Right by the bus station, 2 mins from the train station and 5 minutes from the Metro terminus. There are public paying car parks nearby if you are travelling by car. Externally, the hotel is a lovely old building, inside it is smart and clean, and basically, with the plusses and minusses of an old building. We had the economy room, it was fairly small, but it had a reasonable size bathroom and a bed - What else do you need? I spend as little time as possible in the room. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Saturday night was a bit noisy, but not unbearable - The clock in the bus station was irritating (But not loud) as it sounded more like a mobile phone alarm than a real clock! Breakfast was OK, more English than Continental, although if you get a 'room only' deal like us, Wetherspoons over the road gives a good, cheap alternative. We paid a ridiculously low price, and felt that we had a real bargain. It's not the Ritz, just a good basic hotel.

Disappointing for a 3 star hotel even for the UK.No parking unhelpful staff, elevators that did not work properly and nobody bothered to fix them. For the UK roms were fair and the central location perfect in a small town but beware of the bus station next door that starts at 6 am and the night clubs on Saturday

Staff friendly and helpful, allowed us to check in 2hours early. Room was clean and comfortable, well-stocked with tea and biscuits. Would definitely re-visit for business or leisure. TV had terrestrial channels only and wifi was only available downstairs in lobby but was free and very fast.

The Britannia at Wolverhampton was ideal for an overnight stay being a 5 minute walk from the station and it was great value. I had a single room away from the street and had a good nights sleep.The room was clean and the bed and pillow comfortable. A buffet breakfast was available from 7am and was included in the price.The staff were friendly and helpful.

The Britannia Hotel was ok, in need of maintenance and reception seemed unsure of what to recomend regarding parking facilities nearby- We were advised that there was 'Free Weekend Parking' at the Friar Street Car Park accross the road and took the receptionists workd for it only to be hit with a £50 parking fine the next morning. NOT IMPRESSED. Overall though, had a comfortable stay.

I staid in room 240;which was supposed to be a "Superior" room and I was not impressed;it was quite small,had stains on the floor and the light fittings had what looked like mould stains. I'm glad I had just booked the one night.

This hotel was what is to be expected for the price. Fine size rooms with all you need for a nights stay but not much more. Cleaning was done in a haphazard type of way and hotel was a bit tired looking. They were going to charge me again at check in even though I had paid through the net in advance. Very central location and handy for train station. No parking but use the multi story at the train station for 6 pounds a night.

Everything about hotel first class including evening 3 course meal for 7.95 Breakfast very expensive though

Nice chef made a great roast, good location, small room, very run down, no hot water one morning and no apology from staff or sense that this was an issue. would have helped to have some decent directions and parking info. opposite a noisy bar with lots of fights. But overall the low cost deal i got made this ok.

Good value for money for a one night stay. Rooms tired and in need of update but clean and tidy.

I only have one complaint, it was a cold winters afternoon when I arrived there was no heating on in the room but after complaing to the duty manager it was rectified.hot water /hot bath early evening was available but in the morning just before 1hr my departure once again there was no hot water or heating it was bitterly cold that day.

It wasn't bad, it was just very basic. I stayed on a very cold night, so I had to ask for an elecrtic heater it was that bad. Also no WiFi in rooms is a little bit of a pain.

I wanted to save money and thus decided for the Britannia. Well, I got what I paid for. It was okay and that is it. However, the location of the hotel is excellent. There is a restaurant and breakfast can be booked but I was engaged otherwise and did not test it but it looked all right.

We only stayed one night and it was cheap and cheerful. The decor is very dated but the room was clean and comfortable. It was very good vaule for money as it was in the centre and included parking. Easy walking distance to shops and bars and very close to the bus and train station.

Room was very small, bathroom was disgusting especially the bath. Very noisy during the night. did not have a comfortable stay.

We stayed in this hotel for one night after watching a show. The room was ok but couldn't have stayed for another night. The bed was very uncomfortable and I could feel every spring! The wall paper was peeling off and the bathroom window was covered in mould... Luckily breakfast was included in our stay, if it hadn't it would have cost £10.50! Not really worth it for solid scrambled eggs and grey coffee.

Stayed for one night, accomadation basic but clean. ideal location for town centre and civic hall. Happy hour until 8pm in the bar great for some cheap drinks before hitting the town.

Had to complain about the cleanliness of the room due to finding my bed not maid, cups with coffee still in them and shower gel open and hairs in the bath on the shower wall. I just think the room i was given was skipped for cleaning

Whilst the hotel is central, it also suffers from the usual noise associated with city centres. The room in question was badly in need of some TLC. The bathroom had black damp patches on the ceiling wallpaper ripped on the walls and ceiling and curtains hanging off the rails. The towels were new but had not been washed prior to use and were going to dry no-one!. As for the biscuits in the room, they were so broken only a brave soul would have opened and attempted to eat the crumbs. The bar is stark and uninviting and the beer was totally flat (so my partner said). However the biggest complaint was the noise from the parties being held in the function rooms. These rooms situated on the 1st floor are surrounded by bedrooms, so if you want to sleep before 2am, then don't look to book in this hotel. On a positive note the breakfast in the restuarant was first class and the staff pleasant and hel[ful.

Stayed twice recently. Pretty good rsingle rooms both times with fab bathrooms and proper 'sheet and blanket' beds. Breakfast a bit average tho and wasn't happy at being told to share a table as they were all being used when there were dozens empty in the restaurant.

For a weekend break, this hotel isn't bad. Its not brilliant. But its not by any means awful. To put it quite simply, its average. The room was quite small, but it had everything I needed, and it is right next to the bus station which is a bonus. The tv in the room wasnt bad, and the bath was big enough. If you're on a tight budget and need a hotel, I'd recommend this hotel. Otherwise, look somewhere else.

This large hotel is right next door to Wolverhampton's bus station, and just a couple of minutes' walk from the railway station. I was able to book my single room the night before, and although I arrived 3 hours ahead of the 4pm check-in time, was able to go straight to my room, which was quite small, but clean, warm and comfortable. The Christmas tree in the foyer (in August?!) baffled me a little - I guess they are already trying to drum up trade for the festive season! A regular shuttle bus (£7.50) to the festival ran throughout the weekend, making this hotel a perfect alternative to camping in the quagmire that was Weston Park this year! I did feel very sorry for the (very friendly and helpful) cleaning staff, however, seeing the amount of mud that was traipsed through the building by fellow festival-goers... Breakfast wasn't included in the price of my room, but was worth paying extra for - a wide selection, with fresh, piping hot cooked items and chilled water available alongside the juice (it's amazing how many places don't provide it!) This is obviously an old building, and has a sense of history about it - blankets and bedspreads instead of duvets added to the feeling of age and comfort - I would definitely stay here again.

Room clean,bed comfortable, for the price you cant go wrong. The breakfast wasnt gourmet but I expected that, egg, bacon, sausages, tomatoes & fried bread nice and hot, and tasted fine. Stopped two seperate nights in different rooms, on one end of the hotel(room 202) could pick up wireless internet no problem(free), the other end no chance but there we go. Was there on business but noticed it was ideal for the clubs on a night out. Staff friendly too.

We had a one night stop over in Wolverhampton at the Britannia. It was a good budget hotel, clean room, nice hospitality tray. We parked at the railway station which is only a minute's walk away, and no problems there. We thought we were getting a double room, but ended up with a twin, but for the price we paid it wasn't worth getting upset about. More than happy to stay again.

Cet hôtel est prêt de la gare ,du centre ville et de l'université. La gare routière est tout près pour les bus c'est super. L'inconvénient si votre chambre donne sur le devant il y a beaucoup de bus qui passent.Heureusement c'est calme entre 23H et 6H.L'hôtel est un peu vieillot mais pour 2 ou 3 nuits ça va.Vous pouvez manger au restaurant de l'hôtel les prix sont tout à fait correct. Attention le soir plus de service après 20H.

Läget är perfekt, mindre än 5 minuter från buss- och järnvägsstation och lika långt till centrum med gågator och affärer. Standarden på hotellet bra för att vara Engelskt, det vill säga hyffsad. Sköna sängar och rent i rummet.

Ok hotell, ligger väldigt bra centralt. Frukost buffen helt ok, men bedrövligt dålig service vid frukosten.

Fast utan vinst för Wolves så håller detta hotell medelmåttig engelsk standard.

Het hotel is vrij groot met lange gangen. Het personeel is over het algemeen vriendelijk en redelijk behulpzaam / vakbekwaam. De kamers waren redelijk schoon, maar hadden schoner gekund (vlekken op vloer, sprei, oud bonnetje van andere gasten in hotelinfomap). De locatie van het hotel is perfect; op loopafstand van trein - en busstation, centrum, universiteit etc. Het hotel is wel wat gehorig. Sommige kamers komen een beetje oubollig over, qua kleur en inrichting.

Achter de statige facade van het Britanniahotel in Wolverhampton gaat een verrassend hotel schuil. Door de diverse gebouwen hebben de gangen af en toe kleine hoogte verschillen, die met trapjes zijn opgevangen. Het hotel is prima voorzien van brandveiligheidmaatregelen. De kamers waren bijzonder netjes, hoewel je kon zien dat het materiaal niet nieuw was. De bedden waren wat verschillend van kwaliteit, sommige matrassen hebben voelbare spiralen, andere liggen prima. Je betaalt niet voor services waarvan je toch geen gebruik maakt. Aardige en behulpzame personeelsleden. Centraal gelegen, op loopafstand van het station en het centrum.
