The Met - Ληντς

The lobby of the Hotel was every bit a 4 star, very clean and modern. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. The room I was in was a single and unfortunately above their delivery warehouse. It did not have any double galzing which as a resulted meant all the delivery noises was coming through. That aside, the room was clean and bathroom very nice! Defintely worth the price i paid for it.

This feels like a hotel that has improved its look with a decent refurbishment but forgotten to 'train up' its staff. Not many smiley faces - a deserted bar - because no beers were available on tap, expensive for what it was. Room service expensive. Slow check out at peak times. Room small and bland. It felt a little strange - unwelcoming and lacked character. I will not be rushing back. I worry about its future.

I was staying in Leeds on business so was looking for something near to the station. The hotel was a 5 minute walk so was ideal. Quite a small bed, but comfy enough. Room was clean, big bathroom. The only problem was the bins being emptied outside at 5 in the morning. Would stay there again though as was value for money and more than sufficient for a one night stay.

Staff all superb from start to finish. Rooms spacious and very clean. Breakfast top quality. Nothing to fault.

excellent value for money

We booked two rooms for a weekend stay and were not disappointed. Good value hotel which appears to have been recently refurbished. Great breakfast.

On arrival the hotel staff were very friendly, we were upgraded to executive suites :) Rooms very nice and clean, beds were very comfortable! Quite noisy at early hours of the morning with people coming back from nights out. Paid extra for the breakfast (£7.00 each) and was the worst breakfast I have ever tasted in my life!! Considering it is a 4* hotel it was very very poor, and hardly any choice at all. Apart from the breakfast matter I could not fault the hotel, it was lovely.

Stayed one night for a night out in Leeds. Location great for going out and getting to train station. Room was fine and bed was comfy. Checked in and out with no hassle.

I used the Met for a business stay, but I think it would be a great hotel for any type of visit. It was clean and nicely furnished, with good food and drink and a good level of service. All-in-all a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Great location for the nightlife. Five minute walk from the main pubs & clubs. Hotel has a car park (albeit small) in Leeds City Centre which must be a rarity these days!!!

Filthy room that clearly hadn't been hoovered in a while! The hotel is very old and you can tell from all the paint and wallpaper peeling away in your room! Ordering a cab from the hotel is pretty pointless as it will not turn up on time if at all so be prepared to order your own.

We were pleasantly surprised by the comfort and style offered by this hotel considering the price. The room was quite snug but was attractive and had everything we needed. The only issue we encountered was that the car park was full (wedding guests had took all the spaces!). We were advised to park at the train station which was a 5 minute walk. Overall enjoyable stay and we would definitely go back.

Don't bother paying for a superior room, they are small and pokey, you might as well pay for a standard room. My room had a waster water pipe running behind the wall and I could hear everyone flushing thier loos- Not good

Definately stay again as both the hotel and the location are great. Only minor downside is being so central this can get noisy in the morning with the traffic but what can you expect being a city.

This hotel is in an excellent location for the city centre, close to all the shops, bars and the train station so was perfect for a weekend get-away. The hotel itself has been renovated to a high standard, although we didn't get chance to check out the bar as there were functions on the go - it didn't really bother us but there were discos on late if you don't want to be disturbed. Our room was a tad dissapointing given the pictures on the website (it was just a bit on the small side with a smaller bed than expected), however, it was clean and had all of the usual frills you'd expect from a 4* hotel. I would reccomend this hotel if you can get it for a few pounds more than the budget hotels as its much nicer but don't pay over the odds.

Good location - comfortable room - but breakfast was big disappointment - they cleared away our table whilst we were queuing for the hot buffet, the bacon was cold, the glasses were dirty and the continental cheeses were so old they were cracked!

Room was very small,bed and pillows very very soft. The bathroom could just fit one person... Standard of room for the price I paid was very poor. Stayed here before but not again.

6 lads on a night out, central location helpful staff

I booked early to get an excellent rate and was up-graded to a "contemporary" room on arrival, which appeared to be a normal room with good sized ensuite bathroom. Medium sized hotel but with poor facilities for 4* (one small, slow lift, no gym, no Sky tv). Didn't stay for breakfast as it was not cheap, but plenty of places to eat nearby. The best thing about this hotel is the location- very near to train station and town centre, but still very quiet. Has limited parking spaces at £10/day which is OK. Room very clean and tidy but beds were too soft for a good night's sleep. V Little contact with staff but they seemed friendly & helpful.
