Hotel Berchielli - Φλωρεντία

I stayed at the hotel with my daughter and had a great time. the location was amazing and opening the window in the morning to the skylight of florence and the river underneath was amazing. we enjoyed the breakfast very much and there was much to chose from. the room was very spacious, very clean and pleasant to be in. we also enjoyed the extra perk of having a roof terrace where we could sit and enjoy the rooftops of the surrounding and have a quiet cup of coffee. overall we can strongly recommend the hotel. we had a wonderful time there.

Right on the river. Close to museums and the Duomo. Lovely room, courteous staff. Would definitely stay there again.

we were very pleased that we were given a room facing the arno river. we could see the ponte vecchio on the left. the room was clean, large and classically styled. a very pleasant and pretty room. bathroom was huge with great toiletries. the staff was professional and polite. the breakfast buffet was unimaginative but adequate. great location for shopping. a very pleasant experience in all, love the view.

We loved this hotel. the room was elegant, roomy and beautifully decorated. The tiled bathroom was exceptionally nice - except the large tub had no shower curtain, but a shower was still possible if you are careful with the shower nozzle. In retrosepct I might have liked a location a little closer to the main attractions. But the Berchielli is really only a few blocks from the center of activity and right next to the Ponte Vechico.

This hotel was outstanding. The staff was excellent in every aspect. The room(triple) was larger than expected and quite comfortable. Berchielli is close to many sights to see in Florence. A real gem in every way.

The service at the hotel was very good and helpful. Our room was nice, importantly with a modern clean bathroom. Breakfast was more than adequate and we ate at the hotel on two occasions. Excellent restaurant staff. Enjoyed the experience and in a perfect location.

We were very surprised how nice the hotel is and the location is fantastic. Hotel is very pretty. Our room was very large for Europe. The hotel is quiet but located right on the Arno River and very close to the Ponte Vecchio. We would stay there again.

Our room was so nice that I had to check with the front desk to make sure a mistake had not been made. We had a glorious bathroom with beautiful tile and a private balcony.

Room was very well furnished and decorated. Staff was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast included in the room rate was of very high quality.

We loved our stay at Berchielli. The staff was friendly, free internet and computer available. The breakfast was amazing. So much food and many options!! Cheeses, meats, cereals, scramble eggs, breads, etc. The coffee was so GOOOOOD!!! The location is great and the hotel is very elegant. Would definately stay at this hotel again.

Stayed in a triple room which was beyond our expectations. Third bed was in its own separate bedroom. Both rooms very very large and spacious (also had two bathrooms). Rooms were very, very clean.

it was my 3rd visit to Florence and I would say this hotel has been the best. The location is just amazing. such a great accessibility to any location. And the room was clean, spacious and had arno river view! Breakfast was pretty good too. I would visit this hotel again!!!!

Paid a lot for this room. didn't get the 'view' room. I stayed by myself and my room was the size of a hamster cage!! Good thing I didn't need to turn around in the bathroom. Had a brick wall for a view even though I stayed on the Arno River. The location was terrific. and the breakfast was good. One of the desk clerks was rude and very unfriendly.

The hotel is located very near to the Ponte Vecchio which makes it a brilliant location for sightseeing in Florence. The building itself is beautiful and very typical of the lovely architecture of this amazing city. It doesn't have a restaurant but the breakfast was very good. The room was lovely, small (as is typical for Europe) but well furnished. The service was probably typical of Italy, not very forthcoming at times but adequate. I would have expected better from a hotel of this expense and star rating but it was fine and I would stay there again.

The Berchielli has a good location only a few minutes walk from the Uffizi, Duomo, Ponte Vecchio etc. Our room was very comfortable, with air conditioning, carpeted floor and tiled bathroom with bath and shower (but no shower curtain oddly). Good buffet style selection for breakfast and they serve tea at the bar in proper British fashion. Staff friendly and helpful. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there are plenty of places to have lunch or dinner nearby. We were on the top floor and the room was very quiet.

The hotel is located right on the Arno, and steps from the Ponte Vecchio. Not only that, but the rooms are decently sized, the staff is polite (if not the most friendly), and breakfast is delicious. Would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend!

The location, staff, and general facilities were excellent. Our room had a view of the Arno and Ponte Vecchio. The bar is small and expensive, but a handy refuge. They serve a "tea" for $6.95. Free internet. We were extremely pleased to have found this hotel. It was the best out of 12 places we stayed in Italy.

This hotel is well placed for all the major sights in Florence. Everything is just a short walk away and when you need a rest from the wonderful places of interest just pop back to the hotel for a quick freshen up and sit down. Rooms are spotless and staff very friendly. Breakfast tastefully set out with everything from cold buffet to full English. If you can get a room looking on to the River Arno ( not sure if they are more expensive or not) well worth the view. As we got a discounted rate of 25% it was excellent value for money. Beware Florence is very expensive at the moment !( May 2009)

The hotel's location was great to getting to all points of interest in Florence. We had room (503) with a view of the Arno River and the Ponte Vecchio which was beautiful both at night and waking up to the view. We did not find it to be as noisy as in some reviews. The hotel itself was accomodating and the breakfast room was very good and very convenient. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

Location was great and within walking distance to all attractions. Room was clean,comfortable and staff was very friendly and helpful and made you feel welcomed. Loved walking out of the hotel and within a short walk, you are in the thick of things.

I loved this hotel. The location was perfect in relation to the train station and all sights in Florence. No place more than a 10-15 minute walk. The double rooms are on par with US rooms in size and amenities. The bathroom was much nicer than a US hotel. The breakfast was nice enough. A standard European breakfasat along with some US type items. Nothing special, but more than enough to start the day, and the service and the breakfast room were nice and relalxing. Overall, the one minor drawback to the hotel in my opinion was that the mattresses seemed very firm. But this is not enough to keep me from giving a very positive review. All-in-all, this hotel was a great deal. At least with the hotels.com rate. Their rack rate is pretty steep.

My husband and I were incredibly impressed with this hotel. The size of the room, bathroom, and quality surprised us. This is a hotel we would definitely return to if we ever make it back to Florence. The breakfast was very tasty with lots of options. The hotel staff made us feel very at home.

The Hotel Berchielli was excellent. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was great and included hot items like eggs and bacon as well as a wide array of other items (cereal, fruit, yogurt, meat, cheeses, bread, etc.). The staff was courteous and helpful. There was also free use of a computer in the lobby and wi-fi in the lobby as well. (Only slight negative is that there is no wi-fi in the room.) The location was wonderful - right on the arno river, and close to walking to all the major sights and to the train station. I would give the Berchielli 5 stars all the way.

Spent four nights at the Berchielli and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Comfy, clean rooms. Helpful staff. Good breakfast spread. A great little hotel for exploring Florence. Recommended.

This hotel is ideally located just a stones throw from the Ponti Vecchio and a few minutes stroll to Piazza Della Signoria. The hotel is exceptionally clean and is well staffed. It even had a full time barman a rarity in this type of hotel. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and polite. Breakfast was a good buffet standard and offered scrambled egg and sausage in addition to a wide range of cereals, croissants, fruit, fruit salad and yoghurts. The room was very clean but small for a four star rated hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Florence but found it to be very expensive compared to Rome and Venice. Maybe the exchange rate exaggerated this.

Hotel Berchielli was a very nice hotel. The staff was accomadating. It helps to know basic Italian, though the staff did speak English. Two complaints was: the door was locked 1 night for about an hour at 4:30 am and my cousins and I had to wait outside and it was COLD on the river. (2nd) Although having a bath in Italy is considered a luxury, it was incredibly difficult to shower due to the narrowness of the bath. Otherwise this was an excellent hotel, 5 Steps from Ponte Vecchio, close walk to museums and sites. Close walk to the train station. Also is on the Arno River, if your lucky you can get a room with a view. We did not have one and it did not take away from our experience, I think it would only enhance it. Another plus was free internet and free wireless in the lobby.

This was our first trip to Italy and the first time we used a website to book our reservations. We were not disappointed. This was our favorite hotel during our stay in Italy. Charming, beautifully decorated room, outstanding breakfast buffet selection each morning, very friendly service by all the staff. We plan to return to Florence and stay here again. It exceeded our expectations! It was close to all the important things to see and do in Florence. Much within a comfortable walking distance.

you can never find free internet at hotels anywhere in europe.. take this hotel if that's a must for you =) great hotel, great location (unless you have a car), great staff...

We spent three nights at the Berchielli, and it was the best hotel on our trip. The location is unbeatable, right on the Arno, right near the Ponte Vecchio, walking distance to everything, including the Palazzo Pitti. It couldn't have been better. The staff was really helpful and booked us a tour of the Accademia. The room was huge, and comfortable, with a view of the river. Very clean.

We spent 4 days here at the beginning of August and we were delighted with everything. From the location to the breakfast, everything was perfect

After we complained room darkness, they graciously upgraded our room to a room with Arno river view. The staff were kind and helpful making restaurant and tour reservations. It was especially close to Uffizi museum, Ponte Vecchio, Pitti Palace and the beautiful Boboli garden. The breakfast had an excellent choices including fruits and yogurt. They had wait staff at the dinning room and brought perfect separate pots of hot milk and coffee for my cafe late.

The Berchielli ended up being worth the stay. Be forewarned (as we weren't--maybe we missed something) that if you bring a vehicle, it'll have to be parked outside the city center at a very steep rate per night. The hotel is in walking distance of all of Florence's major attractions. The hotel is currently undergoing some renovations. If you stay out late and like to sleep in, you might want to call the hotel first to see how this going. We were woken up by very loud construction at about quarter to nine. The management was very good about moving us to a room a bit more distant from the noise. They also responded well to other inquiries. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Some have been redecorated; the first room we were in had a redone bathroom, completely covered in a very nice looking tile (probably because there was no shower curtain on the tub!). The second room had a step-down bathroom that looked completely different. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable. Wireless internet was available, but was generally only reachable near the reception desk. The included breakfast was a little bit better than the other three hotels we used in Italy, but as usual, nothing to rave about. Neither of our rooms had a view of the river.

Very helpful staff, lovely accomodations and excellent location.

We stayed here two nights. The room was clean (although I smelled mildew in the bathroom, but only when we first arrived) and very comfortable. We had a triple, and the pull out chair/bed was really comfy, even after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel staff is extremely helpful and happy to offer recommendations.

I'd reccomend to anyone this hotel as its location on the Arno river is central in Florence with close vicinity to the Ufizzi gallery and the Palazza Vecchio as well as the Ponte Vecchio

We reserved a triple and were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to a suite. The hotel was beautiful, clean and centrally located. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The complimentary breakfast was also a great plus. This hotel would certainly be our first choice if we ever go back to Florence.

Hotellet byder på en fremragende beliggenhed ved floden. Man kan uden problemer gå til det historiske centrum af byen og andre seværdigheder. Vaerelset var af topkvalitet med udsigt over floden. God morgenmadsbuffet med mange valgmuligheder. Receptionen var meget hjaelpsomme når det gjaldt bestilling af togbilletter og bestilling af ture ud fra Firenze. Et hotel jeg helt sikkert vil benytte igen naeste gang jeg skal til Firenze.

L'hotel è davvero ottimo: sia la struttura, sia il personale sono all'altezza della situazione. La descrizione conntenuta nel sito è reale e le aspettative ( elevate ) sono soddisfatte. Da tornarci!

Ho soggiornato con la mia famiglia (moglie, figlio di 9 anni ed io) per quattro giorni presso questo hotel, camera 503. Magnifica vista sull' Arno e su Ponte Vecchio. Camera molto accogliente: flat TV con canali satellite e Sky, fornito minibar e grazioso bagno in stile. Colazione compresa molto ben preparata e variata. Personale di sala e reception sempre molto disponibile anche per consigli turistici e gastronomici. Bella posizione: vicinissimo al centro storico e proprio a due passi da Ponte Vecchio.

Bon hotel De preference demandez que votre chambre soit du coté fleuve.

Berhielli är ett hotell med fina anor, tyvärr har det somnat in ganska rejält, rummet behöver mer eller mindre saneras. Vårt rum vätte ut mot Floden Arno vilket ger en underbar utsikt men samtidigt en ganska störande ljudbild (mkt trafik). Läget är väldigt bra i stan, Personalen var trevlig, men inga högre ambitioner när det gäller service.

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf den Fluß und den Ponte Vecchio. Zentrale Lage, sehr freundliches Personal und immer hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und es gab frisches Obst.
