Location good, but if you want the bus or train be prepared to walk. The renovations have been tastefully done, keeping the best of the original features. Staff welcoming, especially in the Bar! Good breakfast with helpful staff in a separate breakfast room. We didnt try the restaurant as the set menu was a bit pricy at 35 euros and it did not change throughout our stay. Would go back again.

Hotel was very good-location. Facilities reasonable. Swimming pool was clean and there is a lifeguard. Sunbeds were always available near the pool without reserving them, but again early June. Hotel supplies towels so no need to bring your own. Breakfast good choice-continental and some cooked items although these weren't as nice as other cooked breakfasts I've had. Room clean with air con which worked well. Hotel was a bit stingy on giving clean bathmats and towels and replacement toileteries-but easily rectified if asked for. Viareggio itself is a bit of an odd place-mainly full of designer shops which were on the whole unaffordable.! Eating out was expensive and quality of food was not that high in my opinion. We had one evening meal in the hotel which was of high quality compared to eating out. Best to go half board in the hotel as the local eateries are not up to much and the prices are very high. I'm not sure I would recommend Viarregio for older children-smaller children will be OK. Overall we spent a week in this hotel and I think the quality was excellent. There are plenty of local sightseeing trips you can do and use the hotel as a base. Beach very clean but there are regulations on what you can and can't do which appear to be very strict-eg ball games are not allowed and even sandcastles have to be knocked down afterwards which to me seems a bit over the top!! Beach has lots of life guards all along it. Overall a good holiday.

The hotel is the most exquisite in Viareggio. It is lovely, in a wonderful location and is absolutely beautiful. The staff is extremely helpful and give great customer service. There are a few items on the downside to be aware of. We stayed on the first floor which has the most newly renovated rooms so you'll get the best rooms on that level. However, you also get a great deal of noise. We were above the breakfast room and early in the morning, you could here the staff setting up for breakfast with loud talking, music playing and dishes clanking. On vacation, that is the last thing you want is to be awoke at 7 a.m. Also, the internet connection on the only computer available to guests was down almost the entire time we were there. Made it tough to look up the places we planned to visit the next day for directions, etc. Last criticism is the poor selections for dinner. We made reservations to have dinner in the formal restaurant and when we arrived, we found that we could not order off the menu we'd seen in our room but were required to have the 35 euro per person menu that they had prepared each day. That is a pretty steep charge when all the area restaurants provided great dinners for a total of 35 euro for both people.

Older hotel....wonderful location, great break after walking all over Florence, Pisa etc......relaxing, wonderful pool at hotel, great views, beach a 10 plus...great area food. High end location.

la camera non è da 4 stelle.. piccola e con arredamento molto vecchio che non rispecchia il resto dell'hotel e il prezzo pagato. in compenso la colazione è molto buona e il personale gentile.

Der geschmackvoll restaurierte Hotelbau bietet den versprochenen 4-Sterne Komfort. Das Personal war sehr entgegenkommend. Das Hotel liegt gegenüber der Strandpromenade. Dadurch sind Strand, Geschäfte und alle Freizeitmöglichkeiten des Ortes schnell zu erreichen. Die Zimmer zur Strassenseite sind durch das hohe Verkehrsaufkommen recht laut.

Atmosfera ed ambiente unici, bellissima giornata, carnevale entusiasmante! siamo stati benissimo. l'hotel è tenuto benissimo nonostante l'età! le camere datate offrono un buon comfort...non manca niente. i letti comodi e la pulizia buona.

Äldre stil, mycket stora och rymliga rum. Trevlig atmosfär, utmärkt läge
