Grand Hotel La Pace - Σορέντο

Hotel is excellent and very comfortable the only problem i faced is very few shutte bus and this was not shared by Hotels.com so i have paid money on Taxi.

This hotel was a great base to travel around he Amalfi coast - unfortunately it was very quiet with no one in the bars or restaurant so not much atmosphere. There is a shuttle bus that take you into the centre of town every day which was great. The rooms were clean and sea view was lovely. However the hotel is starting to look a bit tired - we were greeted by a fruit bowl and bottle of Prosseco as a welcome gift which was a nice touch but I would probably give it a 4 star rather than a 5 star rating.

We stayed in teh Hotel as we were getting married in Positano and found the hotel to be a great place to stay. We had a Suite which was very spacious and well furnished, two full sized rooms with two french balconies. we returned to the hotel after a trip to Capri and had a sea view room with a terrace - fabulous. If you can afford the sea view I woould recommend it. Our guests also stayed here and all loved the hotel, the regular rooms were lovely with tiled floors - but the non sea view rooms on the lower floor have very restricted views. Dinner in the hotel has a limited menu but is excellent value and of a high standard. Service can be a little slow.

Could not fault the hotel, the service, the staff or the food. Three course meal for 25 euros, great value. Pool was glorious as it was not freezing cold. Only thing that was a bit disappointing was that the shuttle bus into Sorrento town wasn't frequent enough.

Really enjoyed staying here. The staff were lovely and the pool was very quiet with great views. Breakfast was OK. About 3km outside Sorrento but as taxis are so expensive there it will cost about €20 one way. There is a shuttle bus but it only runs a few times every day.

This is a 3 star hotel masquerading as a 5 star hotel.

Hotel was very good but I would advise not to go in October - the place is deadly quite. It felt like we were the only ones there at times - imagine the film 'The Shining' - big place but no-one about sums it up. I think if we were going to Sorrento, in October, we would pick a hotel in Sorrento as it's likely to have some other guests. But if you don't mind eating breakfast and dinner by yourselves in a large restaurant with waiters watching and waiting for you to finish then it's fine.

This is a very beautiful hotel lots of marble in reception Staff were very helpful with how to get around etc. Rooms with large comfortable bed, the bathroom was good size with bath. There was live entertainment on 2 nights during our stay at the pool side. The swimming pool was nice with sun beds umbrellas etc. The breakfast was very good lots of fresh fruit eggs cooked on request etc. Dinner was table service included salad bar plus 3 courses, very good quality and typical Italian food. The waiterswere all very nice. Air conditioning was working well. The only down side was hotel was a little remote we would take 20 mins to walk to centre of Sorrento but parts of road had no path to walk so need to watch for traffic. The shuttle was good if it fits with your visit. There was a train station 10 mins walk.

Excellent value for money. Wine and fruit on arrival and very good breakfasts. Could not fault this hotel

AMAZING HOTEL, SERVICE, COMFORT AND FOOD ALL 5 STAR. SLIGHTLY OUT OF TOWN CENTRE BUT FREE COACH SHUTTLE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT.

Das Hotel an sich ist nicht schlecht. Echt super und schick eingerichtet. Aber es wird nicht richtig sauber gehalten. Das Bad war schmutzig, der Duschvorhang eklig und die Bettlaken wurden nicht gewechselt. Ausserdem ware nocht Schmutz von den Vorgängern (Haare usw.) überall zu finden. Das Frühstück grauenhaft!!! Das personal war freundlich. Insgesamt nicht empfehlenswert.

Meget bra hotell, med super mat, vi valgte halvpensjon, frokost og middag, og det var en sann nytelse. Noe langt å gå til Sorrento sentrum, men det går shuttle buss fra hotellet til sentrum morgen og ettermiddag/kveld i høyseson som er gratis. Til gjengjeld ligger hotellet deilig avslappende til, nydelig og luksuriøst!

Magnifique établissement, situé au calme à 10 min à pied de Sant' Agnello et de la gare (très pratique pour visiter la région sans utiliser sa voiture). Service de navette gratuite pour Sorrento (temps de trajet 10 à 15 min.). Chambres spacieuses donnant sur la baie de Naples ou sur la campagne. Équipement très complet et agréable (piscine, jacuzzi, salle de fitness, salon de soins, restaurant, bars, salons, parking privé). Personnel prévenant et chaleureux. Très bon petit déjeuner. En résumé, un lieu idéal pour passer de très bonnes vacances.

Erg goed hotel met een goede service. Inrichting is 'kitscherig' maar wel in stijl. Heerlijk rustig gelegen en een shuttle bus service naar Sorrento, die exact op tijd vertrekt. Genoeg bedden bij het zwembad, maar voor de beste plaatsen wel vroeg er bij zijn. Ontbijtbuffet gevarieerd en goed.

la struttura dell'hotel è spettacolare. purtroppo il bagno della stanza non era il massimo (penso sia una svista), come pure la ristorazione (un po' troppo "americana")
