Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong - Χονγκ Κονγκ

Generally clean and tidy, nice fixture and fittings, bed is hard (eastern style), I like firm but these are hard. Nice touch is the free (proper buffet) breakfast. Shame airport shuttle doesn't allow for early flights

This is our first time in Hong Kong. After our training session in Beijing we decided to visit this pearl city before we head back. My friend who rents an apartment in Causeway Bay recommended us Cosmopolitan saying that it is in a convenient location. And yes it is. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the subway and a huge complex mall. My sister and I have gone crazy seeing all those cute boutiques and cosmetics counters (Gees they got lots of Japanese products)!! We ended up spending $1000 in one go! Since it was only one night we had chosen the basic room. The room itself is comfortable and nice. But we think the gem is the staff. All are very friendly and helpful from the time we checked-in, the Concierge always tried the best of their way to give us directions and tips. Especially the room attendant Winnie, who helped us in a number of requested occasions and we are very pleased with her. And the result is, we DO NOT want to check out!!!!

A little out of the way, but convenient distance to shopping at Times Square by tram, and nice view by the racetrack.

Overall a very nice hotel. Location is a little off central but Hong Kong is not too big and it costs about 2-3 USD of taxi to get to most places.

The hotel staff was helpful and they had no problem to allow us to check in early. We were impressed with the rooms that we got which had a nice view of the racecourse. While it is a bit far from the MTR (subway), catching taxis in Hong Kong is so convenient and cheap that it does not matter.

Our hotel room had a view of a cemetery. The mattresses were so hard that it was hard to sleep and the hallways reeked of smoke. Nothing around the hotel.

This hotel was chosen because it was good value for money although when we arrived jet lagged and tired they tried to sell us an upgrade. The amount quoted is per night not overall so don't be misled! The location, although not in the busy central area, is convenient for Times Square and the MTR if you don't mind a walk (about 15 mins). One negative about this hotel was the bed appears to be made of concrete and after three nights we had sore bones!

We were very impressed by the high standard of effiency showed by all hotel staff members. They could not do enough for us and we would most certainly stay there again

flexible staff accommodated our early arrival (06.00hrs) + midday checkout times. good breakfast. hotel across road from Happy Valley racecourse - good links to City centre.

As previously in the other reviews the rooms are very noisey, the TV and kids are able to be heard up and donw the hall way form outside in the hallways, the beds are very hard and uncomfortable.(IMO) it is clean and nice to look at, the wireless broadband is only in the lobby the internet in the room cost US$75 for the week, the food is expencive, US$20 for the breakfast each (there were 3 of us, US$60 for cold food is a rip off, the room services is dang expencive and 4 out of the 5 time i ordered it, they cause me to be sick. ham and cheese sandwich is like US$20. Avoid hotel food, avoid the bed, rooms are clean food presentarion area is clean cheeky b'stard of bell boy wanted a tip for bringing me a $20 cheese sandwich. everything else is nice in the hotel, staff are super friendly cannot help too much (except that dodgy bell boy)

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights as a part of my honeymoon and I hated it! The amenities at this hotel was at the bare minimum for a 4 star hotel. I requested a non-smoking room and upon arrival was told that only rooms in the smoking floor were available. Having already paid for the stay, my only choice was to take the smoking room. When I got to the room, it smelled like someone had burned the entire room down before. The windows did not open and they were frosted so you cannot look outside. I think it was because the hotel is right in front of a huge cemetery, which I did not know about. And when I complained about the smell and lack of fresh air, they sent someone to the room to "deodorized" the room but all they did was spray the room with their "air freshener" which smelled like bad cologne. I could not sleep the first night because the smell was stinging my nose. I complained again the next day and they said they would go open the windows to let some fresh air in but they couldn't change my room because there weren't any available. When I got back to the room that day, the windows were never opened. I paid extra money to stay in a "superior queen" room but the room fit only the queen size bed and a desk and no space to put luggage. With one big and one small suitcase in the room, there was barely any walking space. We had to climb through the bed to get to the other side. I would never stay there again and I would not recommend anyone else to stay there.

If this hotels were rated as 2 or 2 and a half stars, I would hae been satisfied. The rooms were very small, with no dresser to put our clothes. The beds were very small ...smaller than "twin" ... and very hard. There were no amenities such as hair dryer, ironing board, or even soap provided by the hotel. The hotel is a long walk (in HK terms) from the subway station, with few convenient dining options in the area. The hotel staff were friendly, but the hotel is a 2 star hotel that was recently remodeled - which does not make it four stars. Very disappointing.

First off, I have to say that the staff at this hotel was great. They were friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a good location, close to Times Square and a short cab ride to Causeway Bay or Stanley Market. The worst part about our stay was the room. It was extremely small. There was hardly enough space for me to open my suitcase. The shower was tiny and prone to overflowing. The worst part was the bed which was way too firm, or should I say hard! Otherwise, it's a decent place for the price.

Rooms are small but that's pretty much like all hotels in HK, bed was quite hard and our room was next to a elevator so could hear it going up and down, luckily we're heavy sleepers so didn't bother us. It's not centre of Wan chai, but only 10 mins walk to Times Square and the hotel offers free shuttles to different locations in wan chai, central etc which is great. And if you miss the bus back later in the evening a taxi is only about 16-20HKD which is nothing! I fly to HK on a weekly basis for work, and would definately reccomend this hotel, it's CLEAN, SAFE and that's the main things you want when travelling.

The hotel was ok, not bad, good location. Be careful if you're going for the standard rooms, some of them are not located in the main building and they are much smaller. For some reason the desk clerk may have been in a good mood because he gave us a bigger room in the main building, which was cool. The windows are frosted in the rooms so you DO NOT have a view at all.

Excellent location & with HK's superb transport system you can get anywhere v Quickly & easily. I could not fault the hotel or it's very helpful staff and the food in the restaurant was very good.

Very good value for the money. Friendly competant staff. Deluxe rooms are quite large and comfortable. I personally found the beds to be a little hard, but not uncomfortable. Suggest hotel put a mattress pad on the beds.

Very clean, not a bad location and great value for money. No bath just a shower and beds a bit hard, but otherwise very good.

The room was small, but most of all the bathroom has only a small shower. The curtin is touching you at all times,,, this is too small for comfort. The room was neet and clean.

My friends and I stayed at this hotel very recently and we were very happy. The service was great and the location was pretty central to all the happenings in the city. I would definitely stay here again.

The place was very affordable, and the service was great. Would recommend.

This is a nice hotel and for the money, I'd say its a bargain. Its a pretty good walk to the metro but cabs are no problem.

The hotel was pleasant enough and had a convenient free shuttle system. It was a little out of the way though from Central or Causeway Bay. There were few options to buy anything near the hotel like snacks or toiletries for example. The room was very small by western standards with little hanging space and no drawers. It was nicely decorated and very clean.

I stayed at the hotel during an electronic fair I was attending. Considering prices for other hotels and location of this hotel with the free shuttles the value was very good for me.

My wife and I stayed 4 nights on a stopover on the way to New Zealand. Really enjoyed Hong Kong with plenty to see and do and cheap to eat out and travel on trains. The hotel was all that could be expected, smart and functional rather than atmospheric in nature. Windows covered with an opaque cover so not able to see the view across to the hills which was a pity.

The last stay at this place was our third, and on each occasion we did not get the room that we'd asked for. The first time we were upgraded, the next time we had a shower for people in a wheelchair (which meant you couldn't stand up!) and on our recent visit they tried to give us twin beds. We managed to get this changed, but only by going for a walk for four hours (after the flight from Auckland) until the room was ready. We were too tired to complain that it wasn't a non-smoking room, as specified. That said, the bed was comfy, if a little hard for my wife's tastes and the linen was spotless and chinese laundry fresh. The shower was brilliant and capable of industrial magnitude massage if you're not careful. Location is quite critical in this city and this place has it. You can hop on a tram next to the flyover between the hotel and the racecourse and be down at Central in fifteen minutes. Wanchai MTR station is 10 minutes walk and taxis pass at the rate of 40 a minute (really). For homesick Brits, there's a pub called 'The Derby' over the road.

Rooms small but comfortable. On site restaurant is Expensive; especially the breakfast at about US$20.00. Rates change quickly difference more than I expected from my previous visit. However Hotel represents a good value compared to other hotels in Hong Kong.

The front desk reps need to attend a customer service class.

This hotel looked better on the website than it did in person. The lobby and elevators were very small and so where the dining areas. The fitness center was a converted executive suite with very limited equipment. The executive suite we booked was not worth the money we paid. We would not stay here again.

All services were excellent except the room service. Arrived too late in the evening at the hotel and the hotel restaurant was closed for the night, I placed a room service and I was told that delivery would be done in 20 - 25 min after placing the order. After an hour of waiting, no delivery was still done, I called back the room service people and canceled the order, went to bed hungry. The location of the hotel is excellent to our conveniences. The rate was reasonable and what I love most are the services of the bell boys, the front desk people and service of the room Attendant. They are all efficient.

Reading through reviews that this hotel is good for the money,it seems that the reviews are overrated. For one thing, the hotel really lacks cleanliness because it stinks or something in the air reminiscent of dirty laundry or sweatsocks. The hotel was crowded with young single tourists who are drunk and wearing their most outrageous garb. And speaking of sweatsocks, their gym was closed by 6:15 when they claim it should have been opened at that time. I am not expecting a five star hotel service but it should be decent for the money one is asked to pay. It seems that it has a "youth hostel" ambiance and service considering that it is relatively pricey and being marketed as one with a classy clientle.

Needs a better drop off/pick up location. Otherwise was great for the low price.

Le service est excellent, tout le personnel et aux petits soins. en revanche, l'hotel ext tres tre bruyant : la chambre donnai dur la rue, et le bruity est constant(pas de double vitrage). La porte d'entrée dans la chambre n'etait pas insonorisée, tout le bruit du couloir parvenait dans la chambre et la porte de séparation avec la chambre d'a coté n'etait pas non plus insonorisée, on entendait donc tout ce qu'il se passait dans la chambre d'a coté.

Centralt beliggende med udsigt over Galopbanen. Kort afstand til centrum / Tram (sporvogn) / havn / indkøb. Værelserne var pæne og havde en god størrelse til 2 personer. Morgenbuffet = pænt/varieret udvalg og altid fyldt op. Personale var høflige og ydede god service.

Alt var godt. Højt serviceniveau, god morgenbuffet, god værelsestandard, fin udsigt over væddeløbsbanen, god beliggenhed i forhold til al slags transport, gode muligheder for rekreative aktiviteter.

Bra, men mycket små rum. Märkligt med gratis wifi i lobby men inte i rummen. Ibland lite mycket väntande på hissen. Frukosten saknar nåt. Gymmet kasst. Ligger lite off. Bra pris dock.

Helt greit hotell med bra beliggenhet. God shuttle tjeneste.
