Jurys Inn Southampton - Σαουθάμπτον

For the price we expected better. The bathroom only had soap dispensers for both the handbasin and bath/shower, also the bath towels left a lot to be desired in size and quality. The restaurant advised it was full at 8.30pm although there were clearly plenty of empty tables and we had to eat in the bar. If this hotel wants repeat business it needs to improve in more ways than one.

Very good hotel for access to the city center. Quiet rooms in good condition. Short cab ride to port on cruise day.

The hotel was in a good location across from a lovely park leading into the town center (about a 5 minute walk). We were not allowed to check in early, but the hotel stored our luggage until check-in. The lobby and bar area has wi-fi available. The restaurant was expensive...breakfast buffet only. Room was small, but clean. Bath had only shower which was small by American standards, but we arrived via cruise ship so the size was about the same.

I have now used this hotel numerous times as I travel from the channel islands to watch Southampton at St. Marys. It is the perfect place to stay in the city, centrally located close to the nightlife the city has to offer.The rooms are comfortable, clean and have internet access and tea/coffee facilities. Also easy to find and transport links are close by. Parking directly under the hotel is also an advantage, especially as it is discounted for hotel guests.

I stayed in the hotel for 1 overnight while on business close to Southampton. The room was an ok size, bed was comfortable, nice shower. The sink gurgled quite loudly after using it but otherwise everything was in good working order. There is no iron in the room but I rang reception for one and it was delivered within a couple of minutes. I dined in the restaurant and while the restaurant lacks atmosphere or cosiness the food was fine and the service was good with friendly staff. It was also good value at 70EUR for B&B.

Having stayed in many hotels on business over the year I am delighted to report that the bed in Jury's was extremely comfortable. Very central to all facilities.

Very disappointed in the accomodations at the Jury's Inn. Room and bath were smaller than the cabin on our cruise the next day. No soap, shampoo, or amenities in the bathroom. Location is great and people are nice at the hotel but the accomodations are sub-standard.

For the price this is a good hotel to stay at. It is centrally located. The rooms are clean and you get air conditioning. The only reason I gave it 4/5 is the TV reception is rubbish.

BP49 for a single room is quite value for money. It is within proximity to the rail station and coach station. The furniture is a bit worn out but overall condition was good and clean.

WE ONLY STAYED 2 NIGHTS BUT FOUND IT A VERY GOOD PLACE TO STAY THE STAFF WERE SO HELPFULL THE BREAKFAST WAS ONE OF THE BEST THE 4 OF US HAD FOR A LONG TIME THE ROOMS WE FOUND VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE MY ONLY BAD COMMENT WAS THAT THE CHICKEN NUGGETS IN THE RESTAURANT WERE HORRIBLE BUT ALL IN ALL WE ALL SAID WE WOULD STAY AGAIN AND TRY ANOTHRY JURYS INN HOTEL AGAIAN

The hotel was badly managed, dirty lobby, overspill of garbage bins in lobby, terrible service in the restaurant, maid ignoring ' do not disturb ' sign in the morning, too many young and inexperienced hotel supervisory staff, etc. The area surrounding the hotel is now very run down since last staying there two years ago. I wouldn't feel comfortable walking in the area at night. And why was the price almost twice that of Jurys at Heathrow?

We really enjoyed our stay at Jurys Inn! Shopping, park and nightlife was within walking distance. The rooms was nice, with comfy beds, and nice bathrooms. And we appreciated the free internet!! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The only reason why I won't give full score, is expensive parking, and a noisy housekeeper. But we'll definitely go back!

This hotel was in a perfect location only about 5 -10 minutes walk from shops and next to a lovely park. We booked it as a pre-cruise stay and the Cruise Terminal was only 1.5 miles away so about 5 minute drive. The restaurant was very reasonable and food good. My only downside to this hotel was when we checked out. We were waiting for a taxi and my Mum went to sit down. Outside the window where she was sitting a lorry was parked unloading beer barrels. One slipped off the lorry and came crashing through the window, glass shattering towards my Mum. The brewery guy came in to check if anyone was hurt. However, a Manager of the hotel came immediately and moved the furniture around the window but she did not ask if everyone was okay (there was also an older gentleman sitting opposite my Mum). My Mum was a bit shaken and had to go and sit down and have a cup of tea. No-one from the hotel came enquired about anyone and seemed too interested in the damage that had been caused. The Management need to seriously be a bit more interested in the customers rather than the building which I find very sad.

Enjoyed the comfort of a fairly new, well furnished hotel in a convenient location for our visit to Southampton. The reception and waiting staff we encountered on our 2 day stay were extremely helpful.

Good central located hotel within easy walking distant to shops and restaurants. Staff very helpful with easy check in and check out. However, the hotel was full with coach loads of tourists so you had to wait to use one of the 3 lifts - bad timing on my part. Overall, basic, comfortable hotel with a good breakfast.

Hotel was ideal for an overnight business trip. Check in was quick and simple, and i got the smoking room i requested. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, good climate control too. Restuarant was very nice, Table d'hote menu offered reasonable value. Good food presented very nicely. Car Park costs pretty standard for an inner city location. Would stay again.

The hotel in general was comfortable and the staff were pretty pleasant both at check in and the restaurant but the internet facilities were very expensive and the current situation where you are charged £5.00 for 1 hour or £10.00 for 24 hours most hotels offer free internet considering you can go to a internet cafe and get an hour for 0.50p so why is it the Jury's group make their intwernet so expensive

Within walking distance to downtown and port. Excellent place to stay for departing for cruises. Only food in hotel was a disappointment, walk downtown. Great park next door.

Good location, VERY helpful staff, no complaints.

This hotel was perfectly good for a night or two's break. It was clean, the beds were very comfy and the service was efficient. My main gripe is that we booked a non-smoking room and the room STANK of smoke when we opened the door. We aired it out, but it was still surprising to find this. You may also want to consider that the hotel is slightly out of town so is not super-convenient for the town centre.

Upon arrival and a long wait to check in (even thoguh we arrived well past the check in time) we get to our room to find we do not have two single beds, we have a double. Back to reception where we wait again (one receptionist not even serving anyone) only to find out there was no twin rooms left but there was a settee! After lots of tooing and froing and complete defensive behaviour we eventually got offered a disabled twin room whcih we accepted. Breakfast in the morning involved the serving waitressess helping themselves to breakfast before tables were cleared and also 20 minutes prior to the breakfast time being over for guests! A shame as I have stayed here previously and it was fine - looks like a change fo management.

Central location, rooms are clean and spacious. Excellent value for money. Would recommend and stay again

All staff very pleasant and helpful,reception, bar and breakfast. Would definitely go back if we needed to stay in the area again.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. A few more tv channels would be appreciated. Room was nice and a good average size. Bathroom was clean and tidy too. Breakfast was good.

It was not an outstanding hotel but for the price I paid it was a great buy.

Great hotel in a great location. If you havent been to Southampton before I would reccomend this hotel. Close to restaurants, shops - all within walking distance. Great bar in hotel. Much better than Travel Lodge or Travel Inn.

great hotel for visit to theatre and just out of the way of all the noisey nightlife but not too far to walk to the shops. crossing road to get in is a little strange have to go out of way to get to entrance if you come at it from wrong direction as on a roundabout. would def stay again

I wanted a hotel in the centre of Southampton and this was ideal. It is next to a lovely park and a short walk from shops and other amenities. It was comfortable with a good buffet breakfast, which is also something I like. Recommended.

Conveniently located at edge of large park area, not too far from the train stations and from the center of activity in town.

Had an overnight stay here early Oct 08, prior to sailing on the Independance of the seas cruise to the canary Isles. Clean comfortable hotel, town within walking distance across a lovely park. Cruise terminal nearby.

This was our first time at the Jury's Inn Hotel and it represented good value for money although be aware that parking (£6 per 24 hours) and breakfast (£10 per person) are extras. Our room was on the 10th floor. My wife found the room too hot and opening the window meant increased traffic noise as the hotel is in the middle of a busy roundabout. We normally stay at the De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel which is great if you intend to use the pool / spa facilities. If not, save money and stay at the Jury's Inn

Very nice place to stay, convenient to explore all the city, very friendly staff, reasonable prices, good meals, good choice of services, I'll stay there again when I go to Southampton

Hotellet ligger perfekt til for et kort opphold i Southampton. Rommet var rent og pent, men fryktelig varmt. Rommet lå i 12 etasje, så det var en sikring på vinduet som gjorde at det bare kunne åpnes med en glippe på 2-3 cm. Kjørte klimaanlegget på maks, men det var likevel over 25 grader på rommet. Bortsett fra dette er jeg veldig fornøyd med rommet.

Keurig, modern hotel. Ligt redelijk t.o.v. van de winkels. De tweemaal dubbele ramen zijn geen overbodige luxe: er is veel verkeerslawaai. De airco werkt gelukkig probleemloos en tamelijk stil.

Enkelt, rent, hyggelig, billig og sentralt. - Kommer gjerne tilbake.

Hotellets standard og komfort var OK. Prisen var i den billige ende uden morgenmad. Med £21,-for morgenmad trækker meget ned.
