Hotel Amalfi - Amalfi

The hotel's location, the staff and the room were all completely fine and lovely. However, we got very little sleep because of the amount of noise which went on late into the late and the started very early in the morning. When we then tried to get an afternoon nap, there was some awful waiters from the restaurant next door trying to sing. Amalfi is beautfiful and I'd definitely go back to the town. Don't stay in Amalfi if you want sleep though as the Cathedral bells ring extremely ealry for mass and the music in the Piazza goes on until very late. We ended up needing an awful lot of sleep when we got home.

The Hotel Amalfi had one of the cleanest hotel rooms we've ever stayed in. Bed/pillow comfort was mediocre. Same with breakfast--nothing special, but nothing wrong with it either. The hotel staff were very nice and were responsive to our requests. The floors in the rooms and hallways are tiled, so we heard hallway noise. The hotel was convenient, a very good value...and did we mention it was exceptionally clean?

Friendly staff stylish and tidy hotel spacious rooms in the back alley from the main street of cafes. Only needed a bar fridge in the room.

This hotel was one of the more expensive hotels on our vacation, and definitely the worst one. The Good: The location is probably the best in Amalfi. Smack in the center of town. The staff was friendly most of the time. The Bad: The room was adequate with the exception of shower. There was a makeshift shower in the bathroom that was added as an afterthought, which was almost impossible to get in, and even harder to get out when after 2 minutes the water turned freezing cold. The breakfast was very skimpy. The Ugly: If you want to have air conditioning in your room, you have to pay an additional E10, and they will not allow you to use the phone in your room to place a call using a calling card, not even if you are willing to pay the charge for a local call.

You have to pay extra for the Air conditioning per day, which is worth it in summer. You have to pay for the parking. The rooms are basic and clean. The Hotel is in the heart of Amalfi

The rooms are good size for a European Hotel. The bathroom was clean and except for the Hotel Towels, everything was fantastic. The breakfast that is included in the room price was wonderful. I would highly recommend for anyone travelling to the Amalfi Coast.

The hotel was in a central location, in the heart of Amalfi. The rooms were clean and the staff was more than happy to make sure we were comfortable. I've been to Amalfi several times and I would come back to Hotel Amalfi the next time around!

I stopped for a one nights stay in Amalfi. I was making the drive from Salerno to Sorrento. Driving is not for the timid but one of the most thrilling experiences with awesome views of the coast. It was akward driving up the narrow streets to the hotel and parking in the garage. The town was lovely and the hotel was situated right in the heart of town. We enjoyed a delightful evening with wine and fruit in the hotel garden. Rooms were cozy and air conditioning was an extra charge paid upon check-in along with a parking fee. The hotel staff was courteous and accomadative and a fine breakfast was served up on the terrace with a view of the cathedral. We chose to see the emerald grotto in Amalfi instead of the blue grotto in Capri and it was one of the highliights of our vacation.

Vi fik 2 dobb. værelser i en lejlighed 88 trin oppe bag selve hotellet! Værelserne var OK, men der var ikke megen service. Vi måtte slæbe bagagen op ad alle trinene selv. Telefonen på værelset duede ikke, så vi måtte løbe frem og tilbage flere gange bl.a. efter stik til køleskabet. Personalet virkede meget uprofessionelt, glemte bl.a. kvittering på garagelejen. Hotellet virker noget slidt og lidt trist. Haven er under al kritik. Slet ikke passet og på bordene ligger beskridte falmede, gamle duge.

Betjeningen var OK, beliggenheden er fin, meget god restaurant, La Perla som nabo til hotellet. Vores værelse var et af to i et anneks i gårdhaven og det bar præg af nogen indelukkethed og fugt, måske fordi brusedøren var meget utæt, så der flød en del vand ud hver gang det blev benyttet. American coffee til morgenmad kan ikke anbefales.

l'albergo mi ha soddisfatto in quanto ho trovato molta gentilezza da parte di tutti i gestori, un'ottima pulizia. Quello che lascia un po a desiderare è la disposizione della camera da me occupata che non ha alcun panorama, la finestra si affaccia sul muro della casa difronte.
