Hotel Marina Riviera - Amalfi

We stayed here on our honeymoon. It exceeded all of my already high expectations. Staff was A+++. Can't say enough good things, can't wait to go back. Clean rooms, great views, great breakfast (with eggs!!), great location.

We stayed 5 nights here in July 2009. We were very happy that it was easy to find and a short walk from the ferry dock after a long day of travel (note: we highly recommend the ferry over the bus to Amalfi, unless you enjoy road nausea). It is conveniently located right next to the public beach, and a short walk from the central plaza shopping and restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, including with setting-up excursions and a ride to the airport (both for additional cost, of course). The breakfast spread is impressive and varied. The room was comfortable, with a large bathroom, comfy towels and robes, and ours had a balcony overlooking the Sea. The interior hallways are a neat mixture of smooth marble and tile floors with rough-hewn stone walls, giving it that authentic Mediterranean feel. The convenient location does mean that traffic sounds are present, but it did not bother us. It's quiet at night, and you can hear the sea with the windows open. The price was a little on the high side, but probably pretty standard for the area. Finally, it's pretty cool that the Marina Riviera appears on most postcards of Amalfi. I would recommend this hotel.

Driving to Amalfi from Tuscany all I could think of was, "I hope we get a room with a view of the Mediterranean". When the hostess greeted us and said they were putting us in a nice room, I was hopeful. When we were taken to the top floor and we entered room 79, I was astonished! The view was beyond anything I could have hoped for or imagined. The terrace was at least 2000 square feet--the roof of the hotel with a 360 degree vista. The breakfast was superb. The staff was what one would expect at a 5 star luxury resort. The hostess remembered my name whenever she saw me. The room was spotlessly clean and very romantic. I don't believe I can ever return to Amalfi and stay anywhere else.

This is an outstanding hotel. We stayed in a Superior Double and had a beautiful view from our room. It was large by European standards. The hotel offered several sitting rooms that were nice to meet in.

We actually booked this hotel by accident, thinking we were staying in Positano. it turned out to be the best blessing in disguise. We were greeted at the hotel by the lovely josie who took us to the amazing sundrenched balcony to explain a few things about the local area before showing us to our spacious rooms which had amazing views over the beach, comfortable beds, large bathrooms and excellent air conditioning. the hotel is less that a 5 minute walk to the beach and all the restaurants in the town... the advantage of its location is the uninterrupted views and the silent nights. We were so impressed with this place and can't recommend it highly enough.

Great location, attentive service, wonderful breakfast selection with fantastic cappucinos and most of all... a truly stunning view !

I stayed at the Marina Riviera Hotel in Amalfi, Italy. First, the Pictures do not do it justice. The Hotel is even more beautiful. If you are the type of person who likes a relaxing atmosphere this is the hotel for you. Whether you are in your bright, clean, airy room or on the amazing roof top deck you will love it. This hotel is located 5 minutes from everything the town square, the beach and the boats which take you from place to place. My only complaint which has nothing to do with the Hotel is there is no night life in the town of Amalfi!

The service was wonderful. Everyone was warm and friendly. The room was spectacular with awesome views.
