Barcelona Catedral - Βαρκελώνη

Very nice place, should include breakfast especially for the price we paid.

The Catedral was better than I thought it would be. Expected an older, European hotel but this was fairly modern and in a great spot - right by plaza with the Catedral. The Rambla was in walking distance, although after walking it once we didn't go back there during our 2 day stay. Our biggest issue with the Catedral was they wanted 19 Euro in order to get American TV channels. The regular channels only had one English language station, France 24, I believe. And I found it very anti-American. The least the hotel could do is supply free CNN and ESPN.

Fantastic location, new, clean,comfortable beds,responsive staff, reasonable price - can't say excellent enough times.

Wonderful hotel with superb location in the Gothic area, just down the block from the Cathedral and a short walk to Las Ramblas. Very friendly and helpful staff...they even had a free evening walking tour. We were given a "handicapped accessible" room which was great...very big with a very big bathroom..all very lovely. The rooftop pool was beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our sixth trip to Barcelona and second to Hotel Catedral. This hotel is superbly maintained and situated with a delightful, courteous staff. For us, this is THE hotel in Barcelona and we cannot wait to go back. From the linens to the rooftop pool area and the complimentary walking tour through the Gotico, , this is as good as it gets.

We found this hotel on the web and it was a great deal. The hotel was clean, the staff very helpful & courteous and the location excellent. We would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was much more than expected. It was beautiful, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the location was perfect. The room was really nice, quiet and comfortable. I have no desire to try any other hotel in Barcelona, this one was PERFECT.

We went for a long weekend city break and chose the Catedral for a combination of comfort, position and price. It ticked the boxes on all 3 fronts. A criticism is the hotel web site, which seems determined to keep the hotel as a well kept secret! The directions to the hotel for those using public transport are non-existent, and it even states that the nearest Metro station is Catalunya, when Jaume l is in fact closer - fortunately, there is a great big Cathedral alongside to guide you in... though even when you are standing in the square in front of the cathedral, it is still not obvious which side road to take to find the hotel! Anyway, once we found it, the staff were very helpful, the room and bathroom were clean and pleasant, and although not particularly large, contained all the amenities one would expect at a 4 star hotel. There is a stop for the hop on / hop off Barcelona Tourist Bus within 100 metres of the hotel - we found this an excellent way of getting round and seeing the city, with headphones and commentary in 8 different languages available at each seat. On foot, the hotel is right alongside the old town, 5 minutes from the Ramblas and 10 minutes from the port - all very handy for tourists. We did not use the restaurant in the hotel, so can't comment on that. Overall, a very pleasant short stay.

This is an obviously new hotel that hasn't gotten its act together. The thermostat in the rooms didn't work and as a result the rooms resembled steam baths. We were forced to try to sleep with the window open whih let in all the noise from very noisy Calle Atocha. The staff is untrained and unfamiliar with even basic customer service. A request for an area map required a half hour search that produced a map of Madrid. It then took three staff members to find the hotel on the map. Asking for an electric outlet converter or arranging for a cab to the airport were exercises in futility. I might as well have asked them to perform emergency surgey on me. South of the hotel is very sketchy, north is very nice. It would have been wonderful to not have to discover that ourselves. The hotel is conveniently located near most attractions though I would have preferred to not have hookers across the street. The advertised free internet was 10 euro per hour - there's an internet cafe two blocks north for 1 euro per hour and the advertised free breakfast didn't exist. I cannot reccomend staying in this hotel.

This hotel is modern and comfortable, but the best thing about it is the location. If you want to shop in Barcelona this hotel is right in the middle of it all.

This hotel is fantastic. The staff were delightful and veru helpful, the rooms immaculate and there were the little things like free wireless internet! The only sour point was the first night when, as the hotel restuarant was shut, we asked for a recommendation. They booked us reservations at the Neyras and said that the meal would be aabout 45E each (incuding wine). Double it and you'd be close!!!! I was fuming as I thought it might be a little deal the hotel and restuarant had, but the concierge was genuinely shocked and apologised profusely. Apart from that we would have given this hotel a 5 and would definately stay there again.

The hotel was very nice, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The only problem was that the bed was a rock, but that seems to be the case with European mattresses. The location was just minutes from several exciting attractions.

Hotel Barcelona Catedral is in the central location to walk to tourist destinations. The staff there is extremely friendly and helpful, and they are fluent is many languages. The place makes you feel welcome. It is a very cute place, and I will definetly return to that hotel when I visit Barcelona again.

Hotel was well located near the Cathedral of Barcelona and Las Ramblas. Breakfast was limited and somewhat expensive. 15 eu which translates into $22. Hotel has a limited checkin counter and therefore there will be a large backup if a large group arrived at once.

Very satisfied with hotel. Staff courteous and helpful. Room very clean. Excellent location- right in the center of Gothic area and close to main avenues. If back in Barcelona, definitely would stay at same hotel.

The location of this hotel is fab, right in the centre of the old city. The hotel it self is very nice and chic. Enjoyed the roof top pool in the afternoon.

The Catedral Barcelona hotel is very centrally located and just a short walk to Las Ramblas, shopping, and restaurants. The hotel is sleek and modern. The standard room was a decent size, nicely appointed, with a great bathroom. The cable television included CNN, the only English speaking channel. The bed was a bit uncomfortable and hard but for one or two nights, ok. WE LOVE BARCELONA and would return to the hotel. The value is excellent.

the hotel is well located for walking to many of Barcelona's main attractions. The staff was very helpful and that made the short visit to Barcelona terrific. Our only complaint was that the breakfast was not really worth the 15 Euros charged. otherwise, a lovely place to stay.

This hotel is centrally located in the business and tourist section of Barcelona and we were able to enjoy the immediate area and had a good starting point for all attractions. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and spoke a number of languages. The main drawback is that the hotel doesn't include breakfast in the price and the breakfast offered was very expensive. We chose to walk about 100 yards away for our breakfast.

Lækkert, hipt og roligt hotel. Super værelser, hold i minimalistisk lækker stil. Dejlig morgenmadsrestaurant. Poolen og soldækket på toppen trænger til en opstramning - men det er selvfølgelig dejligt at der er mulighed for en slapper i solen på hotellets tag.

Det er bare et dejligt hotel, perfekt beliggenhed, venligt og serviceorienteret personale. Eneste anke er, at værelset ikke var så stort! Ellers topkarakter - kommer gerne igen!

ottima posizione perchè in pieno centro, molto gentili. La pulizia è buona ma potrebbero fare di più.
