Il Vialetto - Sassari

We found the hotel via car by pure chance having got lost on what appears to be an industrial area. The hotel is recognised firstly by its bingo billboard and looks like an unpleasant parade of shops. To access the hotel you have to take an aged, hostile looking lift up to the fourth floor of what looks like a block of flats. There you are greeted with a pleasant reception and receptionist. Note we only came across four members of staff during our time at the hotel and one guest; the place was derelict and somewhat eerie. The biggest problem however for us was finding somewhere to eat on a Sunday evening. Everywhere was closed but for the bingo hall which we understandably decided to give a miss; empty, smoky and hostile. In pursuit of nourishment we walked up a hill for twenty minutes, sometimes on pavement when it was possible otherwise the road, until we entered a populated area and found a pizza take-away. Available for food was two take-aways, an ice-cream palour and a fast food van. Although our room was spacious and adequately equiped (the bathroom being the only good thing about this experience) we were relieved that we had only booked to stay for one night. Although this all sounds very cynical and negative, it is relevant to note that we are giving very high ratings and very positive comments to the four other hotels which we stayed at on our two week vacation in the stunning Sardinia.

Hotellet låg i ett industriområde, det var hemskt. Rummet stank av rök. Det fanns heller inget varmvatten. Frukosten var heller inte bra. Staden är inte trevlig. Och som sagt låg hotellet mkt illa.
