Marriott Portsmouth - Πόρτσμουθ

Stayed here in early August. There were three of us with a room each. Rooms were a good size. Two of them had King size beds and one had two large doubles. This room had no outside window but looked onto the foyer of the hotel. Not really a problem as all rooms have air conditioning. As the hotel is near a hospital you can hear ambulance sirens at night time so opening a window is not a good idea. Rooms had a safe and a minibar. Be warned - these are fitted with sensors which will activate when you remove something and will automatically put it on your bill! Do not use it to store your own water (as we did!) The bar is open plan with low seating and tables. The restaurant is incorporated into the bar area. This is where they serve breakfast. Breakfast is the usual overpriced fare. Better to order from the menu which we did. Eggs Benedict and Poached Haddock were particularly good. At the weekend there is a very long queue for the restaurant. If you're as impatient as I am, hop in your car and drive around the corner to Tesco where they have a 'Costa Coffee' .You can have a toasted sandwich and coffee for half the price! Evening menu was good. Nicely cooked and good portions. You can eat from the restaurant menu in the bar. Hotel is situated close to Portsmouth city centre. Plenty of space in the car park. It also has a leisure centre which we didn't use. Staff were courteous. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Marriott. Very good service, excellent food, plenty of car parking and good leisure facilities. Interesting open plan design means that noise can be heard from the swimming pool area whilst in the bar and the restaurant but we didn't find this a problem. Would definitely return if we stayed in the area again. Good access to Portsmouth - about 10 mins drive away from the centre and the attractions.

My husband and I were very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff. The room was lovely, comfortable and exceptionally clean. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and once again found the staff most helpful and friendly. Food was very good. Staff efficient at breakfast and everyone said hello and made you feel welcome. We will be returning!!

The hotel was very clean and the service excellent. The included breakfast was first rate and very enjoyable. Only gripes were that the swimming pool was rather small and the teas and coffees were not topped up; and provided milk had gone off. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Hotel reception was being refurbished, I think the rooms require attention before the reception area. The corridors and rooms were slightly tatty, a coat of paint, new carpets and fittings will be required soon, to keep up the reputation of the Marriot brand

We had a very nice room but the bathroom was not of a matching standard by any means. Also beware the minibar has sensors in it. We removed four bottles to chill our own bottle of wine for the next day's outing and awoke to a bill stuck under the door the next morning. Easily rectified but really a waste of time and paper.

The hotel was really lovely, the rooms were decorated to a very high standard and very clean, everything you needed was there. The staff were very helpful and polite, would highly recommend this Hotel.

The Marriot Portsmouth is a wonderful, warm & welcoming stay with fabulous food and accomodation.Staff are extremely helpful and friendly -we cant wait to go back

een nachtje met onze twee kinderen (5 en 8) in dit heerlijke hotel geslapen. Mooie kamer met 2 hele grote bedden met veel kussens. Kids kregen een welkomsdrankje op de kamer en hebben lekker gezwommen in het zwembad. 's-Avonds lekker gegeten in het restaurant en 's-ochtends super ontbijt. Goede service.

rapport qualité pris très intéressant, car le déplacement s'est effectué en famille (un enfant de 10 ans).
