Suncliff Hotel - Μπόρνμουθ

Was only there for one night but the hotel suited us for our stay. Nice and clean and friendly staff. Joined with the other two adjacent hotels and therefore you have access to the indoor and outdoor pools and facilities no matter which one you are in. Close to the pier to walk in 10 mins, but far enough away from all the main crowds.

We found the Suncliff hotel to be very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, as was the evening meal. Lack of entertainment in the evenings, but we made our own!

We actually got upgraded to the Cumberland Hotel next door as there was some little mix up but the indoor swimming pool was in the Suncliff which we were allowed to use as the three sister hotels share swimming pools. Great location, staff were very friendly, pool in the Suncliff was nice. View were great, really near the beach and bournemouth town. Gardens are just down the road and the pier. Would definitely recommend either the Cumberland or the Suncliffe and when i return to Bournemouth I would definitely stay there again (on that strip though you are spoiled for choice of hotels).

I booked to stay at this hotel before seeing some fairly poor reviews on several websites. I therefore travelled there with low expectations - which were certainly exceeded on arrival. We specifically wanted a hotel with a pool for a reasonable price and that is what we got. The bathroom could have been in a state of repair but it was clean and satisfactory. We used the pool daily and were very pleased with our room with a balcony overlooking the sea- fantastic view. Our deal was cheaper than various travel lodges from the big chains and although the bathroom wasn't as nice as we would have got in a chain lodge, the pool, location and balcony fax exceeded what we would have got in one. The website states it has a gym but this is only available 7-11pm.

I don't know how this hotel can bear a 3 or 4 star rating given by hotels.com. We were afraid we would fall throught he bathroom floor. There were missing tiles in the bathroom, huge mildew stains on the walls and ceiling, chipped bathtub. The hotel staff was nice and that made our stay minimally tolerable.

The hotel is well positioned on the east cliff about a 10 minute walk into Bournemouth town centre, with parking and an efficient check in. Our room was a twin on the third floor and rather too small and quite basic, although we suspected that there are better rooms available on the lower floors, but you would probably have to pay mroe for these. Breakfast was fine. Wouldn't stay here again as I think there are better rooms available for the same money as I have stayed in Bournemouth lots of times and had better accommodation, but it was ok, and quiet.

Hotellet bærer preg av å være gammelt det var kaldt på rommene og vi fikk ikke ovn da vi ba om det. Det knirket voldsomt i gulvene. Bassenget var gammelt men hadde deilig varmt vann. Frokosten var grei.
