Θέλαμε ένα δωμάτιο σαν ορμητήριο, για ένα ύπνο. Το προσωπικό πολύ φιλικό και εξυπηρετικό. Το πρωινό πολύ καλό. Βολικό, σε κεντρικό σημείο. Παλαιός εξοπλισμός(έπιπλα, σκεπάσματα), εντούτοις καθαρό. Πολύς θόρυβος από τα αυτοκίνητα.

The room was dated - but in a delightful way. It was exceptionally clean (am allergic to dust) and the service was excellent. We were greated warmly by staff and they have us a lot of help / support. The only downside is it was a noisy night and I found it difficult to sleep. The area the hotel is located in is not the best but the metro is literally up the road - so I wouldnt recommend staying around the area - unless to sleep.

The service here is fantastic! Hotel is owned by what seems to be a local family that runs it and they are awesome. They are extremely helpful with directions, incredibly friendly, and are truly concerned about the quality of your stay. The hotel is also a really great deal for the price and includes a solid breakfast. It is also two blocks from the metro. For this price range, this is the best value/ hotel in athens!

If you are looking for a comfortable and simple place to stay at a bargain rate--this is the place. The staff here are all wonderfully helpful and enthusiastic, the rooms, while simple, are comfortable and clean, and the location makes it easy to get around the city. To top it all off, the rooftop restaurant had good, simple Greek food at a reasonable price that you could eat while the lights of the Acropolis came up. If you want an American hotel experience, this may not be the place for you but if you want to be a part of Athens, consider the Apollo. I'd stay there again in a moment.

really nice staff lovely people not just going through the motions . next to metro ,next to spar, large fridge in room to use (with no rip off mini bar rubbish in it) air con , amazing double glazing we were on 1 st floor looking out on main road and with the windows closed, very quiet. upper floors would have a great view of the city... roof bar is just want you want to relax in the evening open till 2 am ish does food as well ! breakfast was lovely ,simple but amazing you get 1 at the price we paid ... consisted of ... peachs, fresh thick greek yogart, honey , boiled eggs, sliced cheese, sliced ham lovely choclate cake, nutelia , bread , jam butter , crisp bread , fresh orange juice, tea , coffee, milk ,cornflakes.... real value for money..... i even left my expensive jacket behind and they posted it back to me at no charge (costing them about £18)

With breakfast included and the convenience of the location this hotel was a great value for the money

We got a great deal for the room and it also included breakfast. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. They kept our luggage for us the last day for free as well. The only concern was that it was very noisy at night. However, we had earplugs so we were okay. It was not a deterrant, but something you need to be aware of. It was also very convenient to the Metro, so we could hop from there to anywhere in town. So we were pleased with our stay.

This hotel is very near to one of the Metro stations, it's easy to access. Receptionist are friendly and helpful. Basically everything is good, except the lift is not working well all the time and it's a bit noisy because the hotel is located beside the main road (even 5th floor is also affected). Cleanliness is good.

Good value for money. LOCATION ...good. ROOM...good. BATHROOM...VERY SMALL SHOWER!! With a curtain. Water not very hot . BREAKFAST...plenty, but of very poor quality and choice. NO FRESH FRUIT!!

Apollo Hotel was very convenient because it is located right by the metro stop and only a 10 minute walk to the Acropolis, but it is in a little bit of a run-down neighborhood. I would suggest this for couples and people traveling in groups but not for anyone traveling alone.

All was good in the hotel. The location is good for Metro, but not for walk. It seems that there was the problem with hot water. But in general, I recommend this hotel.

The Apollo Hotel has six floors and is located on a very busy street. The noise from the traffic is almost unbearable between 4pm to 7pm. It gets better at night. I was on the top floor. Horns and police sirens woke me up a few times during my 10 day stay there. There is bottled water for sale in the lobby. The metro station is 1 block away. Psiri, the location where all the great bars and clubs are, is just 7 minute walk. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel. The breakfast is pretty good, hard boiled eggs, ham, cheese, cereal, pound cake, peaches, coffee, tea, and tang. The breakfast never changed in the 10 days I was there. The front desk staff speak English perfect and give pretty good directions. The lobby was clean and safe. However once you left the hotel, the area was kind of run down. Since 99% of Athens is run down like this the only choice you have is to stay outside the city. I did not have any problems with crime even though I went out went out late every night. Apollo has free internet and it is fast. The elevator is also fast. Smoking is permitted in the lobby. There are 4-5 restaurants within a 3 minute walk.

This hotel is a great place to stay if your on a budget and want something close to all of the sites, its only about a 15-20 min walk from the Acroplois and about 10 mins away from the Parliament building and Parliament Square which is where the majority of places to eat and drink are! The Hotel isnt the most modern but the staff are really friendly and helpful, I would def stay here again!!

I can say the bathroom was really small and the breakfast was not anything special too, but for the money I paid this is an excelent hotel.RECOMMENDED!!!

The hotel is located in an unsafe neighborhood but as long as you are not scared, it is okay but would not suggest you going to walk too late at night. If you do, the good thing is that the metro is near by. Tip- suggest yu to know your directions to the hotel with this area. At night, it is very difficult to sleep because of the noise. Doors slamming and cars driving by are loud. I only chose this hotel because of the easy access to the metro.

It's not that the room was so bad, the bathroom was small the shower was almost non existent, but the noise level was unbearable. We had to go out and purchase earplugs to finish up our stay. The staff was courteous and helpful and I felt safe once I was inside but the ogling crowds of men and clusters of nightly comments became intolerable.

I booked into the hotel for three nights in December. I then returned for one more night. The hotel is located very near a metro station and is easy to find. The area, especially at night, is a bit dodgy; but I had no troubles. It's away from the sights and the tourist areas so there isn't much to do at night unless you leave the area. The rooms I had were a reasonable size. The beds were comfortable. The sixth floor room had a great view of the floodlit Acropolis. The air condition also served at a heater (which was needed). The tv has two English channels so I could watch the news. The bathroom was ok although the shower space was rather small and the floor always ended up wet. The breakfast, which was included, was nothing spectacular. Juice, coffee, bread, cereal, boiled eggs. There was no fresh fruit. I only ate the breakfast once as I preferred to go out or to buy fresh fruit from the supermarket just down the street. The desk staff were very helpful and friendly. They were able to answer all my questions and offer suggestions of things to do. All in all, I was satisfied with my stay. I would probably stay there again.

Very good location at the center of the city, not too expensive.

For the price no complaints and it is clean. Downers-The bathroom is tiny. Wakeup call-do not count on it. Also there is no good place to eat around except for a place that sells good sawarma..Metro stop is close by-in the metro beware of pickpockets..

We were very pleased with the staff at the hotel. They were extremely helpful about how to get around Athens. They directed us to busses, as well as Metro. They provided us with maps too. Also the breakfast was very good. The dining room was clean and well staffed. All in all it was a very pleasant stay. We would return.

The Apollo Hotel is right around the corner from the Metro station and gives you easy access to all areas of Athens. It's also easy to walk to all the interesting sites and the staff is wonderful. Special mention should go out to the Desk Clerk, Frenni. She is Swiss but speaks about six languages and is a bundle of energy and looks after her guests as if they were her children. We called her Frenni the Frenetic Fraulein (with affection, of course). Great price, great location, wonderful people and a nice roof-top bar/cafe with a great view of the Acropolis which is lit up at night and very beautiful.

Hotel Apollo was in a good location (about 20 mins walk from ancient Athens). The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were ok but not great, one had a really smelly bathroom and the other had luke warm shower water. It's noisy as it's on a busy street. Fantastic bar up the top with views of Acropolis! Would stay here again but think a few things could be improved to make the stay much better.

The best thing about the hotel is the roof gardens, with a beautiful view of the acroplis lit up at night! Staff was helpful, breakfast was fine, very close to the metro, overall a great stay.

This is a basic hotel but the rooms are big enough and they are kept clean by a daily maid service. I have no complaints about the hotel location either as we were just around the corner from the metro. My only problem was the noise... which can't be helped I guess. The sound of traffic is continuous even with double glazing. I'm not used to all the reving and beeping of horns all through the day and night. Unfortunately this comes with the territory when you stay in a very busy city! In summary, nice clean room which is located very close to the metro. It is basic but you get what you pay for! I genuinely have no complaints about the hotel itself.

We had a 4 night stay in order to look at the sights of Athens--a real touristy approach. Our stay was made into a great experience by the staff and ambience of the hotel. The roof top restaurent was a wonderful surprise, the food,friendship and view made a meal into something rather special. We had good advice on buses trains etc from the reception staff who were always ready with a friendly smile and good humour. We thankyou for making our stay memorable.

We stayed at the Apollo twice this summer. Once with out two teenage daughters and once by ourselves/. On both occasions our experience was positive. The front office staff was wonderful and suggested places to eat and things to do without our asking. Its is very close to subway for trips into the center of the city and airport. The view of the acropolis from the roof is worth the stay. Next summer when we pass thru Athens on our way to Mykonos we will stay there again.

The Apollo isn't especially centrally located, but it's only a block or so from a metro stop, so the location is fine. The staff was slightly truculent but ultimately helpful. I left town before my sister, so we made two reservations: a later one for a single room for her. The staff let her keep our room with double beds despite her reservation for a single. The staff is somewhat knowledgeable about the city, but take their suggestions with a grain of salt. One of the deskpersons encouraged us to walk to the station form which trains leave for Delphi. Twenty minute walk, she said -- an hour later, we hailed a cab. And yes, we had been walking in the right direction; the woman had dramatically misestimated the distance, apparently. At any rate, a fine hotel for the price (inexpensive). Rooms have bathrooms, and the toilets can actually flush toilet paper -- you'll find that this is something of a rarity in Greece, especially once you leave Athens. Bon voyage!

all i can say is that the place was really good and strategically located. all in all everything was good the only thing i was disappointed was the bed coz i asked for a double bed and what was given was just two single beds that was pushed together thus i kept on falling in between the bed but apart ffrom it, it was a great stay..

We stayed at the hotel on 2 different occasions in the same week. The first room did have a small balcony with a view of the Acropolis, but unfortunately it also had a view of the surrounding neighborhood which was unpleasant. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was basic but clean.

One of few hotels that is NON SMoking in lobby! This is a big deal! Good location. Clean.

Near metro, decent room for price. Easy for us to get there from the port and to travel to the plaka and the airport. Smoky, bed uncomfortable, baggage holding area did not request i.d. when we retrieved our luggage, so don't leave anything valuable there. Breakfast included hard boiled eggs, yogurt, and ham in addition to continental fare. TV had some English channels. Shower had curtain and rest for handheld showerhead.

This hotel is very shabby. They are building another one next door which means that it is a really loud construction site. Beds are small and hard. Showers are hand held and hard to manipulate. Bring an adapter for electricity. Good things: Free breakfast from 7 to 9:30 a.m. including eggs, cereal, juice, danish, toast, coffee, cheese, sliced lunch meat. Another good thing is day supervisor who is from Switzerland and speaks 6 language and understands three more. She is controlling and brusque but knows her stuff and is very helpful as is all the staff. Close to Metro!

Good hotel. Great room for the money and the location is convenient to most tourist sites. Very close to Metro station. Quiet neigborhood. The only negative thing is the very tiny shower room, otherwise the hotel is clean, staff are helpful and friendly and the service is good.

as with many hotels in Athens, it sits on a main road in the ever lively city, within easy walking distance to all of historical Athens, with easy access from the airport via the metro underground. The staff are very warm and welcoming, and very helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy, and i thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. If i'm back in Athens again, i would head back to the Apollo.

This hotel was reasonable but had a couple of quirks that a traveller might want to take notice of. We had a comfortable room with a slightly strange dimensions and dated bathroom. The area for breakfast can get overcrowded at times, and we decided that we could not always wait for there to be a space. The hotel also has a small lift which can become overwhelmed at times. There are some dodgy streets between Metaxourgio and Omonia which should be avoided in the evening.

This hotel met the requirements for sleeping about a 20 minute walk to the sites of athens. The neighborhood is a little rough and there's no good restaurants around, but you're close to the metro and all the other tourist stuff. The beds were not very comfortable and traffic noise is pretty loud, but otherwise the room was fine. If you just need a relatively good place to crash while visiting athens, i would recommend this place...if you're looking for a high quality quiet hotel, you'll need to go for a higher cost place.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of staying on the last floor, right under the bar. It was practically impossible to sleep until 1AM,when the bar closed.
