Jurys Inn Plymouth - Πλύμουθ

Service did not really exist and car parking was very limited in underground car park. The bar manager was more interested in the Liverpool /W. Ham match and the girl who served us in the evening seemed to find the whole experience amusing. Food very expensive for what it was, although breakfast excellent.

A pleasent hotel with very helpful staff. Within walking distance of the Hoe, Barbican and the City. Unfortunately the Hotel has no carpark. there is one next door at £10 for 24hrs or £7 per night.

In the upper end of the city break Market the prices offered by online booking are too good to pass up. Jurys Inn offers everything you can ask for a city break hotel but there are a few things worth thinking about. All the usual are standard but little touches in the room make the difference. A mini hair dryer, internet, liquid soap and shapoo in the bathroom and a ready supply of ironing boards and DVD players. Based with the rear entrance is 5 mins walk from the heart of plymouth night lifes Barbican and even though it backs onto some noisy bars I never heard a peep through very good double glazed windows. Car parking is expensive £10 fro 24 hrs in its underground car park and in todays digital age, TV stations reception was sometimes unwatchable only standard channels with a couple of freeview channels. A nice bar and a nice resturant looked very wecoming. If you get a good deal then do take it for a weekend break but longer and I would look for good old Plymouth BnB

I had to ask for a ironing board three times over a period of two hours. I wanted the iron board so I could get my clothes ready for the dinner/evening. The lady on reception did not even acknowledge me after I had got it to say sorry. She just choose to ignore me every time I was at the reception desk.

Distinct lack of customer service or acknowledgement from staff. Beds in the room were too firm and very uncomfortable, but on the positive side the room and hotel were clean and the food was very enjoyable.

I found this hotel to be simple and reasonable. It has a lobby with a good atmosphere. However the hotel lacks a proper parking facility.

hotel position wasperfect,asked for room with sea view and was given one, room was kept spotless reception staff could not do enough for you ,parking was next to hotel but was expensive if leaving for length of time ithink the hotel could have some kind of discount deal with the car park for guests,but apart from that every thing was perfect

I have find the Advance Purchase on the internet, and i found the Jury's Inn was modern and comfortable. But nobody spoke French, and it was a bit difficult to communicate at the reception desk.

The hotel was situated in a really good locatoin next to the bus station and the shopping centres. It was also really close to the waterfront . According to what room you get you can have a view of the waterfront.

Jury's Inn Plymouth is an ideal place to lay your head for a night or two. Pleasant staff, well located, very clean and adequately appointed. However for anyone traveling by car it is sadly lacking. There is nowhere obvious to pull up to even drop off passengers (the road outside the hotel has a 24 hour bus lane and the pavement is lined with bollards). There is limited parking (5 places in a 100+ bedroom hotel!) so one is forced to use the nearby subterranean pay-and-display which is locked up at eleven o’clock (so no late arrivals by car then). This has probably more to do with an “anti-car-in-our-town-centre” attitude of the local authority that the aspirations of the owners. Having said that – well done Jury’s Inn – a great place to stay.

We stayed at Jurys Inn, Plymouth recently, it was a good price stay. However we were disapointed that although the main foyer and reception areas of the hotel were lovely and very modern, stepping into the room was a bit of a time warp. Everything was very 1980's in style, the colour the style of furniture etc. Other than that the hotel was fine but after such a lovely entrance with marble floors etc we were expecting something a bit more from our room. Good central location for the barbican and Plymouth city centre.

The hotel itself is very central, about a 5-10 minute walk away from most places. Very clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We opted for the breakfast the hotel offers - I'd suggest it, there's a great selection and its not too costly.

Ideal Location for trip to Plymouth. Easy walking distance from City Centre, Barbican, Hoe etc. Comfortable room and reasonably priced Bar - Did not try the Restaurant. Only problem being the limited parking facilities (16 spaces for many many rooms) and very expensive internet connection.

Hotel itself is absolutely fine but local parking arrangements were difficult to understand and very inconvenient.

cost of stay if you take your car is £10 a day. i was not informed about that. hotel good no problem with staff enjoyed stay in plymouth

Stayed for 1 night, very convenient position, near centre but not too noisy. Had both a double and a single bed in the room. Delivered a paper in the morning. tea / coffee making facilities.

I was not very impressed with the Jury's Inn Plymouth. To start with there is NO parking!!! I rang up prior to my stay to discuss parking. I was told there was parking charged at £5 for a 24hr stay. When I arrived there was no available parking and staff were not much help giving advice on where to park. Speaking to the carpark security gaurd for the neighbouring carpark they havn't got any parking but do rent 16 spaces from the development next to the hotel which they advertsie as parking but use for staff parking. Enough said there I believe. I have had very enjoyable stays at other Jurys Inn hotels but this hotel is definately not up to the usual Jury's in standard. It may look new from outside but it is very basic and not that well kept once you enter into the room areas. To top my stay off my room key card which is required to operate the lift as a security measure expired just after 11.30am when the checkout time for the room is 12pm. I had gone to collect my car from where I had parked it and returned to get my bags from the room before checking out to save carrying them. I entered the lift, the doors closed and the lift would not function. For some reason the lift wouldn't even open the door using the door open button as the button panel requires the card to function. I had to sound the alarm to be let out and then have the keycard reactivated before I could use the lift.

We needed an overnight stay in Plymouth and found this hotel. The room was fine but the service is better in a car ferry buffet to Europe!!! We were kept wating 20 minutes for a table - ok, we were given free drinks with the meal - but the attitude of the girl in charge! So. they had two coach parties and had not cleared the tables! We wanted a table for two & she kept us waiting twenty minutes until and educated young man found a table and organised our meal. We had just returned from Europe and stayed in some luxury hotels and saw this as an overnight stay. HOWEVER . . the quality of the staff . . at breakfast we left our table with half drunk cups og coffee, knives & forks etc & went for food .. THE TABLE WAS BEING CLEARED WHILE WE WERE AT THE FOOD COUNTER!!!!!!

Some people might find these chain hotels a bit antiseptic but having grown up going on holiday to grotty, traditional british b&bs, I love the no fuss-no frills approach. Ok, we didn't have to worry about parking and it was off season so we had no problem getting a double bed in a big room but the room was spotless and well appointed and the location central. For a one-night stop-over it was perfect

The hotel was clean and bright as expected from such a new building. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. The car park is an issue and I asked the staff to investigate the idea of providing discs or vouchers for length of stay and agree a discount rate with the undeground car park owners Britannia car parks. The hotel is easily accessible t shopping and to the barbican and hoe areas. Great location

I would look no further, an excellent quality hotel at a reasonable price. Imacculate and the location was ideal. I have stayed in a couple of other Plymouth hotels and this is the best yet.

The hotel was very new and well furnished throughout. The web site gave directions on how to drive to the hotel therefore it was a shock to find out there was no where to park at the hotel itself. Parking was available nearby but at a cost of £5 per night and £4.50 per day. Although convneient for town the hotel is at the wrong side of town for theatres and restaurents . The interent access was not wireless and proves useable

My first time in a jury inn,but i'll be back.Very clean,smart,good service,room was very good and very well catered for with coffee and the like.Has internet access,good tv and if you can get a room with a view of the waterfront...what more can you ask for.150 yds to the bus station,200 yds if that to the shopping centre.Its a shoppers dream or a great weekend away. Although i live in london,i must admit i am from Plymouth.But there is no bias here....i have seen plenty hotels. One small dislike was the breakfast.....bacon toooo salty,eggs undercooked,sausages not cooked enough and the scrambled egg was bland. Otherwise i will be back,well worth it.

The Hotel was fine, but parking is a nightmare! There isnt even a 'dropping off' area outside the entrance. There is a very poorly signed car park underneath the site, but this is very small. We had to wait an hour for a space and then it costs £4.00 per day. We didnt dare move the car then!

My wife and i stayed at the Jurys Inn for 2 Nights and found the hotel modern, clean and slap bang in the centre of Plymouth. The staff were friendly and helpfull and overall it was a really pleasent stay. The only draw back is that the hotel does not have its own parking so you have to make use of the very small pay and display underground car park which is right next door.... well worth organising before arriving!

hôtel confortable , personnel accueillant, service de qualité,idéalement situé au centre ville sans nuisance sonore, à deux pas de "barbican" ( port de plaisance ) et des boutiques. Dommage que nos amis anglais ne sont que très rarement bilingue.

Et hotell som ligger sentralt i forhold til shopping, buss stasjon og lokale opplevelser. Prismessig er det også veldig gunstig.
